Quote: Briana- I'm so happy to hear that she is feeling better! I wish that I lived closer so that I could come help you!
When you said that you buzzed her little head I was trying to picture what a bald silkie would look like...This is nothing like what I had imagined! I think she actually looks quite cute! Sweet little girl!

Haha thanks, im glad she doesent look too funny. It was hard cutting it off. It was sooo long. Im so relieved she's pulling through. She looked just terrible when I found her, i thought for sure she'd die. I just hope she'll start eating and drinking on her own soon so I can focus on my baby coming lol.

Congrats sundance! Those are some pretty birds. I love the little frizzle cochin. I have a white frizzle from you now. I know it's one of Hurculese, who is the mama..pure white little girl..will she get lager than a cochin? Also, a blue frizzle. And, that one that looked to be a legbar to you, is a girl. I am loving the little one from the white egg. It looks like a Unicorn right now. They are all pretty..frizzly. :)

Iluv, I'm glad your baby is coming around. You really are doing a great job. I think she still looks pretty..she right? Has to feeling much better. They were sucking the life out of her. :/
Thanks :) Ya, So far she's looking much better then she was. Still lethargic and not moving much, but already alot more lively then when I first found her sick. I hope her crest comes back as nice as it was. It was huge. I just wanted to cry cutting it off, but the bugs were so bad.

Hahaha Lisa, you're naughty. It doesn't help that we are all hatching and chick enablers, though ;)

Iluv, what's the good word on Ellie today? I love her buzz cut!

I wish I could go to the BE fair, but I'll be out on the deer hunt. Shoot.

We love the State fair! The Davis county fair is fun but pretty small. Our kiddos love fairs! Maybe we'll have to come up. Do you know if they have a rodeo?
DO THEY HAVE A RODEO??!!?? Oh yes they do!! It starts Wed with Bulls, Broncs and Barrels and then there is a PRCA rodeo Thurs, Fri and Sat nights. I think Friday is 'Tough enough to wear pink night'. The rodeo clown is a family friend and there are several members of the committee from Park Valley so the rodeo is a HUGE deal out here. Here is a link: http://www.goldenspikerodeo.com/ I think you should come for sure!! This fair is so big and so many people from PV take part of it that most of the families take a trailer or stay in a motel for almost the whole week. My husband and I have gone every night in the past so hopefully we will get to see you around!!

Just judging by the link it already looks more organized and fun than the fair over here. I like that they list out some of the breeds...and they accept quail!
Best part--pre-registration, and then they figure out where they want to cage the bird beforehand, so no moving. I wish ours would do that!
In the last three years I have only seen button quail. Oh they are so stinking cute!!

You must be a bow hunter :)

Craziest thing just happened. Gary, I told you that the little chick had been crowing because he was the only one I was questioning the gender on. I didn't actually see the crower. I just knew that the three small ones were still in the kennel in the coop getting used to the older gals. Well, they have been fully integrated and this morning I could hear that same little crow. The thing that puzzled me is that I was looking at your little one out in the yard and the crow was coming from the coop! Next thing I saw was my Crested Legbar H-E-N jump up on the stoop of the door and let out a crow!! I just about died! If they weren't an autosexing breed I would swear I got a roo!! So... long story short: I am still in a quandary about the gender of your little chick you sent me :)

Lisa, this time I hope you are wrong :) I really am wanting a pullet.

Me too! You deserve one after all the rooster nonsense this season!
