Utah!

Ho-lee smokes. That's a lot of cookies! I got a box of Samoas for DH for yesterday (it was our anniversary) and he took the box to bed with him. Lol!

Hey folks, I have a hen who was limping today, I've not had any chickens with bumblefoot before, but looked it up, I couldn't see anything that made me think it would be that... I'm hoping she just sprained it hopping down. I also could not see any visible injuries to that leg, or thigh.

Is there anything I should be doing/looking for other than confining her so she can rest?

(also, it does not seem like its 'paralyzed' as she can open and close her foot when she brings it up and sets it down. She just doesn't put her full weight on it)

Are you sure it isn't bumble foot..not wanting to put weight on a foot is the main reason for that. Could be just starting? Just watch it...if it gets worse, you can confine her if you want, if it is really bad. I've had them limp for a couple of days, then be back to normal. Sometimes, they get themselves caught up in something and pull something, but they turn out fine. Yes, hopping down from something high could have cause a problem for a while. Always watch them though until it is better..or worse. Then go from there. Good Luck! Could be so many different things.

I know, a lot of folks do want them. If you want a girl, and I have quite a few hatch, I think you wanted one..or two? You were one of the first to ask I do believe.

Thanks guys I just love them:) yes lisa alot of my chickens came from cynthia:):) I'm slowly getting my flock back. I have 1 more smaller dog but she was laying under my feet lol. Such a daddy's girl:) one of my cats tries to rub on the chickebs because he loves everyone but the chickens aren't too sure about that haha. It's so funny to see.
