Utah!

Chickenstock wasn't quite what I thought it would be. It was fun seeing all the different chicks though and talking to breeders! The class, as a newbie, was great but my kids only let me sit through half of it. There was only me, my kids and one other gal for most of it. Another lady and a couple kids came in a little later. Shame since there really was great info. We made the mistake of not having all the chicks we wanted put aside before the class. By the time we came out, they were mostly gone. Birds were the only things for sale. I'm trying to picture how many people selling chickens there were... 8 I think? Then the free 4H birds? One vendor told me that she only brought her purebred birds if they were preordered (like through FB or BYC) because she didn't want them going home with just anyone. So, if you were really looking for something special and fancy, it probably wasn't there. There was an English Orp lady and a lady with beautiful Mille fleur bantam Cochins. We were sooo tempted to bring one of those home! The one we really liked sold while we were in class though. I don't know why but I was expecting vendors for things like homemade feeders, diapers, rooster collars, etc. It was a nice little trip though. I hadn't been to ID Falls before. Nice town. :) If I'm looking for something in particular next year, I'll go again and be sure to preorder for a fun little trip plus we'll probably stay an extra night and hit up some museums, Bear World or hit Lava Hots Springs on the way to or from. I hope my little review helps someone who hadn't been before and is thinking of making the drive. :)

There was last year---there were some changes in the rules this year last minute and lots of forms to fill out, I think that deterred a lot of us from going and selling. I know of 9 people right off hand that did not go just due to that. :(

Did you happen to see the "falls" in Idaho falls? I thought of that today, I should have mentioned that when y ou asked what there is to do---I think because I am from there I could not think of any sights to see because they are all so familiar they are not so exciting lol! Glad you made it up there...did Shawn send any eggs back with you? :D

Glad to know I'm not the only one having issues, I was yelling at my computer for a couple days, I am having PM issues as well, and photo issues....not getting emails when there are new posts to any of the threads I am subscribed to so I have to keep logging into BYC manually instead of clicking the link in my email, its not that tough but just weird lol! I Kinda hate it!

No, no eggs. Which guy is Shawn?

We got to see the falls, ate at Jalisco's, saw the "Where the Red Fern Grows" statue, saw the baby animals and ate ice cream at Reed's Dairy. We tried to do Bear World today after Chickenstock since it was half price day and cub polooza but the line was insane so we turned around made it back down to our event in Mantua just in time. :)
