So, I am not a total newbie but had my first blood on the outside of an egg....it could be my Brahmas first egg, it could be an exceptionally large egg from a Production Red coming out of molt so I am not terribly scared after reading a bit but anyone that wants to tell me no need to stress would be welcome.

don't stress. I've had it happen plenty of times with mine.

i know i was worried the first time i saw it. but its fine sometimes if its a bigger egg than normal or sometimes a newer layer it happens.

Thanks you two, I am glad to hear it. I was trying to be reasonable but it was a little nerve wracking. I wish I could figure out who it was. I am still trying to catch the Brahma in the egg box, never have but there have been too many of the large eggs for me to think it is the Reds....sigh I hate mysteries.

Newmarch, don't worry I have seen the re-entry marks on eggs so many times, I forgot what it was when you were referring to blood. Haha! Not sure that's brag worthy, but there you go.
