Utah!

With my GLW hatch, I got one GLW pullet. The other hen seems to be looking like a RIR or production red. I should post a new picture of her to see what you all think.

They had peking ducks. They were super cute. But, I remember vividly having a peking duck as a kid, and he was MEAN. I also wouldn't get ducks unless I built a pond.

Types of chicks there: Bantam Silkies (buff, black, white, blueish looking ones), BSL, 1 GLW, RIR and EE.

Ok, here's my picture.

Yes folks. Not a single chick. Not one. Just feed and shavings.

I astound myself with my self restraint. I *DID* eat chocolate cake for breakfast though.

After my second hatch is done (not the one due Tues, but the one after that), I will possibly buy a couple of EE. I will also probably buy a couple BCM from Steve in Lehi.

Oh man!!!
You ARE the man! (So to speak lol) You resisted! I am in complete awe of your awesomeness :p
:bow

It was fun guessing tho! We have so much fun on here ;) I really thought you bought chicks haha! You are probably glad you didn't now so I could not give you such a hard time. As if I can talk......no way I would have made it out of that store with no chicks :D

Okay folks, here is the bad chicken mommy story of the century. We figured out why the Isbars are dying: lack of water. Yep, that's right, the waterer failed. When another chick started looking poorly, I had Zach start using a syringe to give them vitamin sugar water to try to boost things. The bird went nuts trying to drink it. Checked the waterer (one of the nipple types) and, for reasons I can't yet figure out, there is no water coming out of it! I am assuming that is the whole problem here, though I am still isolating those chicks from my others. This is very horrible of us and I can't believe we didn't figure it out sooner! They now have a new waterer that we've double checked and they've all gotten syringes of water. We will see what happens over the next couple of days.

Sphinx, I have twenty BLRW eggs sitting here staring at me reproachfully. If you were kind, you would come and pick them up before I cave in and put them in the incubator! Or you could come and take some of the chicks that have hatched in the incubator and are currently fluffing in there! 13 of them popped out like jiffy pop and most of them are very nice coloring so far!
