Utah!

So yes my delawares are both bigger than the wheatens, how funny! Hey so tell my about this roo thing here, why do you think yours is a boy> is the coloring different? I assumed girls due to the order being sexed. I know an oops happens sometimes....but a few said mine looked different when I posted pics so now I am worried......so we have the same chicks, did you look at my picture I posted, does it look like yours? Weird........Red texted me she is going to pass this time (Hooray for chicken resisitance Red!!) Joybells I am pretty sure mine is a girl from her behaviour, nothing tells me this one is a boy, if you want to bail you better let me know

We are leaving here at 945, but you have my number and can text me if you decide no. And I sure hope they feather out like they are supposed to, they are so beautiful when they are grown!
Birdguy if you are on here, what do you think? Have you had Delawares before? Are you sure they sent us the right birds from Cackle?
Also I talked to pawtraitart yesterday about these Wheaten colors. at this stage the boys have a more calico pattern, like mine with all the blue coming in, it is a blue splash, and she says those are boys. Wish I would have known that when I got Blujems chicken, we should have known from the color. She says girls do not look like that (DANG I REALLY WANT A GIRL WITH THAT COLORING!) So I must have one boy and the other three should be girls. So I am keeping one, then Blujems is taking another. If I do have an extra girl, which it looks like, she is up for grabs on here if anybody wants her. $5, started pullet, I will wait a bit to be sure it is a girl

I think one of the Wheatens I have is a boy because of how it acts and it's comb is turning pretty pink/reddish... And it's got the heavier legs/body...And it's feathers have that reddish color on the neck and sTUff... the other one I'm not sure about yet... I should post some more pics.... Save me that other girl wheaten, I WANT IT!!!!! (If it is a hen=)

Yes it is nearby. She had lots of fun doing it. I think she has discovered a new hobby. She did it with 2 of her cousins. The only problem was the stupid people did it at 3:30 in the afternoon and it was 93 outside. The poor kids were dying of heat.

Here she is my Tarah (8)

Here she is with her 2 cousins that did it also

Here is the shirt and the medal she got for doing it.

My 5 year old son was bummed that he didn't get to do it. So we are going to be doing it again next year also.
After We went on a girls night out date and we went and saw Brave. It was really good.

Got some unhappy news today. I can't find one of my Icelandics. I was keeping the pair of cockerels in the garage, and when I went to check on them just now, I found one boy crying, but no sign or sound from the other one. I've looked all over in there, and I can't see any trace of him. Either he got out of the garage somehow, or he's hurt somewhere. I don't know what to do right now. I'm so tired of losing babies.

Lisa, those Delawares can get pretty big. The lacing on their wings and tail can vary in lightness depending on their heritage. You'll notice that the black will start to come in a lot stronger when they're around 2 1/2 months of age or so. When I had Ellie, you could barely tell she had some speckling on the nape of her neck and wing tips. As she got old, it started to come in more. Even when she was 3 months old, I couldn't see much speckling on her neck. Your description of Lola's personality sounds like a Dellie. My Delaware would follow me around the yard and jump up on my lap, if she got the chance. She liked attention and was very vocal. She'd come when called, too.
