Utah!

Sundance, is this the type of kitty I think it is? Yes, it's a real cat, that has probably, unwillingly, succumbed to it's owner's crazy ways. Do you think those are real earrings?? Ouch! And that lip thing. Ouch again. And, what's that on the whole top part of the mouth?

That is funny but I think its photo shopped. It is a sphynx

Ok I have the photo shoot. Cynthia, you will quickly spot which one is my favorite :)
I could not choose which ones, sorry there is a lot

The muffs and beard on this one melt my heart. I love her and have already cast every chicken spell I can think of on her to make her a girl....

This one fell asleep on my pillow, I love that they don't poop much the first 24 hrs! You can put them almost anywhere with good luck.

See that last pic? As they have dried out the cuckoo babies ARE getting the white spot on the head. Who KNOWS? Maybe they will have stripes. Kinda cool :)

I think tomorrow I need to pile all these black ones in a big white bowl and take a picture...there are 12 in all. :D I did not dare put up individuals of them all.

OH Casa, I love that chick. I hope she lays more eggs...Is the other one smaller? Yes I want to see the pics of the black ones too. ...

Cynthia, I hope your son starts feeling better soon.

Oh ya, the wheaten is smaller....Sparkles chick is fatter and bigger by far than any of them. Bigger egg I guess, hope not because it is a boy ;) I LOVE her. I hope you can get some more of her eggs to hatch too. I was really bummed the second one did not hatch. Please oh please oh please be a girl little baby.

Hmm, I thought I responded but evidently I didn't hit :submit: and it's now lost.

Lisa, I am in love with those babies. I forget just how amazingly adorable chicks are and they you all post pics and I'm in love all over again.

Sundancen, I'm glad you're feeling better. You are so sweet to offer me the denagard, but I ended up ordering it a few days ago and expect it to be delivered today or tomorrow.

Cynthia, it has got to be torture knowing that your son is sick and not being able to go to him. It sounds like the doctors are giving him excellent care though. I hope he (and you!) feel better soon.

Lisa I am in Love with those babies. Your pictures are soooo cute. I am so tempted to get a couple of the FBCM chicks. How are you at feather sexing.
Hattie how is you leg baby?
Sphinx I would have offered sooner but was not sure I could find it?

Lisa, those babies are darling! What a great photo shot you had with them. I love that little chipmunk too.

Sphinx, I offered you some Denagard too, but if you are getting it today or tomorrow, that's pretty quick. Remember to find something sweet to put in it. My chickens don't drink nearly as much when I am using..well, some will, but most won't, they takes sips, which is ok, they are getting some. When you get a whiff of it, you will know why. I tied putting some jello in it ones..not a good idea..I used the red..that actually scared them away! lol. They didn't know what to think of the color, let along the smell..so, maybe yellow jello would work better..on NOT, in the is cold..ha, jello setting up in the water bowl..

Talked with my son last night after he got settled in. They were busy getting things set up, so he had to call back, plus, he was eating!! When he called back, and told me all the food he ordered, I had to chuckle. Poor guy, hasn't eaten a whole lot lately. Still having the colitis problem, but he isn't going anywhere to worry about it. And he says he feels better. Of course he does. He has an IV pumping electrolytes and other good things in him that's not been there for a while, including water! They are sending a wound specialist in today to take a look at a problem that I was working with when he moved out. He's had it for a long time. I am going to call him just before lunch time. See what he ordered to eat today.

Thank you sooo much for all the well wishes, and prayers. And, for listening while I vented. You guys are great.

Lisa, my chick with the spot on it's head, isn't a cuckoo m. but, it's mom was a barred rock. So, it is getting the barrs in the feathers already, and it's only coming up on a week old..so the barrs start to show up pretty quick if they are going to have them, at least on the barred rocks..and this one is a mix. So sweet this baby. My pure barred rock eggs are coming tomorrow, and I have some olive eggs coming from a BYC member that saw that I wanted some real olive eggers. She's gathering them now. Yes, I have two bators, still air. Both. My original one, I'm thinking needs to be gone. It's been opened and shut so many times, that the sides actually have bent enough that air gets into it. I actually have to use plugs, when I usually don't, to keep the temp up. And humidity during lock down. That Styrofoam bends easy. But I still like those still air Giants.

I can feather sex them...I would not trust it though. Marans are usually easy, but last year I hatched two chicks from this same breeder/same gene pool and they were backwards. The breeder said she had a lot of that show up in last years hatch. I guess you could get one of each, then know there is one girl. Kind of a pain though. I am selling them for $7 for the pure fbcm. I am keeping one of each for that same reason, then I will rehome the boy when it rears its head :)I could post wing pics if you wanted to look at pics and choose some, they are at the right stage today. There is only one that hatched late that looks a little hard to tell. Also blujems is going to hatch some more I think, if you wanted to wait till later in the season. These are from hers..from those pullets we got from qcu last year, same as you had. Really dark eggs. Also I will be headed over to qcu in the next few months if you wanted some straight from her...Let me know, whatever you decide. I would love to see these go to you, I know they would have a great home.

I am not sure if I am coming to Murray now though, depending on this snow storm. I will see what the roads are like. Hoping it is not too bad by
Saturday! :/

Cynthia, I am so glad things are going ok and your son is feeling better. I thought about you last night so much, how worried you must be, it is good you guys got him admitted when you did. Good to know about the spot on head chicks. 3 of the 4 have the spots, 1 does not...maybe I will wait til they feather in a little to sell the last one I really want to see what they will be.

Hattie, I had a message on my cell phone late last night, I think you called another Lisa but dialed my number :) Just letting you know your other Lisa never got your message so you won't wonder why she did not call back. haha :) I would have called you back but when I saw it, it was way late.

Blujems, you have to get more sparkles eggs to hatch. I am so worried my little one won't be a girl. We need back up chicks :p
