AND I got to visit my good friend Blujems this morning. . .always love my visits there. I am setting 4 pretty eggs to hatch for her

What a fun day, sunshine, and visits with chicken friends! (Makes up for having to sit through football all day tomorrow.....ugh...lol )

It was so good to see you, Although the monster was sad she missed you. She got home right after you left.

My chicks came today. One was dead 4 are not looking so good, The rest seem fine. It was such a relief. I'll send pictures later

Sundance, i am SO glad they arrived and most were ok! I cannot wait to see the houdans chicks, the pics on the McMurray site are sooooooo cute!

I got 38. I ordered 35 and they sent three extra. They are all darling. The buttercups are so charming with their chipmonk stripes and The pears leghorns are big and almost glow yellow, Of course the gold polish are beautiful and my favorite. The dominiques are awsome. I was surprised at how small the black stars are. the crecovars are small and the Mottled Houdans are goergous. I was not expecting them today. They were kind enough to call me from the main post office. so I went and picked them up. I think it made a difference in not having to go to another location.
I can't find my camera but when I do I'll post pictures. My tub brooder turned out really nice so I want to share that.
design. I had everything almost ready. Just had to put the hay down and finish the light hanger.
If anyone wants a couple of the breeds I have let me know I am going to sell a few.

How far north? There a few here that have roosters that are north of me. I'm Spanish Fork. A couple in the Jordon area, and then there's Lisa in Logan. No roosters at her place though. I think we all pretty much hatch now.

Lisa, those babies I got from you are so sweet! They seemed pretty baffled baffled and freaked when we first got the home, but they have settled down now and are pretty happy. All of them are getting along great-- even the two little ones. We introduced them to the Idea of mealworms this morning. Didn't get it at all for a while, but then one of the older ones grabbed a worm off Joel's hand and that started the stampede. Now they are all in then happily digging around and fluffing themselves out.

We've got the Marans eggs in the 'bator and we should be getting Welsummer eggs later this week, then cream Legbars some time after that. Let the hatching begin! Didn't make it up to the land today to see if there are any BLRW eggs around, but we should make it up there next weekend for sure.

It is my goal this year to stick with just those breeds this year!

Welcome! Where are you located? I have some fertile eggs that I'd be happy to give you, if you don't mind mixed breeds. I'm in West Valley, but we have a chicken train that will randomly go between areas. So if there's a train headed north in the next few weeks and you need eggs, maybe I could send some up north for you? I'm sure I could coax Lisa or Wendy into holding on to them for ya

Speaking of the chicken train, it looks like I'll be headed down to see Cynthia some time in the next few days here. If anyone needs something transported, please let me know and we'll see if we can work something out
