Do you feed it to them free choice in a dish, or spread it around..?
they say you should offer it free choice. so i have one of those 3lb plastic feeders hanging up next to the one i offer oyster shell in. they take it as they need it and that way i know they could get it if they need it. throwing it on the ground you end up wasting a lot of it and they may not be able to find it. so to me it just makes sense to offer it out of a dish.Do you feed it to them free choice in a dish, or spread it around..?

I've been trying to do some catching up on here and it has taken awhile! Sundance I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Serama's! I would love to have some of that breed. I candled the eggs you gave me and none were fertile.Maybe your little rooster is doing his job now though. I am done with incubating for a while maybe when you have chicks I can buy some from you.![]()

If you have sand in your run do you still need grit? I read if they forage around in the dirt or have sand they don't need it. I don't give any to mine but maybe I should?
Well one more day of lockdown for me and I should have chicks. Only three are incubating still out of six. Fingers crossed.
