Utah!

Cynthia, that is a cute idea! I may have to try that.

Madchicken, I would offer to give you some eggs for your broody..............but I'm afraid all you'd get are some barnyard mixes. And I don't know how many of them are fertile right now

Cynthia, what day are those OE and EE eggs on now? I find it so funny that two of the bluish ones are still doing well - those are Chuck Norris's eggs. I tried to poach one today to have on toast. That was THE most resistant egg to cooking I have ever seen. Only Chuck Norris.

So just had to share a little funny I had out in the garage tonight. I have one of my cockerels penned with the Icee girls, while the other boy is free to roam, since the boys don't eat the insulation (bad, bad girls) I walked into the garage, and the boy that's roaming started clucking like he had found some treats. The funny thing was that there were no treats, and he started doing it when I walked into sight. I guess I am known as the treat lady, indeed.

thought i would share some pictures.

The feed from the guy in delta. with added oyster shell and the pellets. Still getting 11-14 eggs a week which is average.

Paprika and Pepper. These are the chicks that hatched on 12-21-2012. don't you just love Paprikas Mohawk!

is this what mother hood does to you? Apricot less then 1 year, I am so sorry baby.

Midnight and Cotton

Ratchets head feathers are growing back after the left open gate incidence. He is such a great bird! He no longer bites when picked up. In fact he runs away, i think it messes with his bad boy appearance.

And that feed looks nice!

I've got a couple of pictures, too, just for fun. Yesterday when I was cooking up some eggs, I checked them for fertility. This is what I found on the one I checked:

Hmmm, I dunno. Ya think that thing is fertile?
ep.gif
Only the biggest danged bulls-eye I've ever seen!

This next one is for Birdman. Remember the plant I was telling you my mom brought home forever ago? It's this one. Any ideas?

Okay, I took the camera out back the other day to get some pictures of my Wyandotte girls. But of course, I can never pass up other picture opportunities.

Nora (Chuck Norris) is a very curious girl. This is the Leghorn/EE from Cynthia. I love her beard.

Dottie is not happy unless she gets to sit on my back/shoulders and chat with me. And sometimes pick stray specks out of my hair. <3

Stevie, one of the Wyandottes I got from Lisa last year. The parents were originally from Blu and Phoenix. She is a gorgeous, floofy girl! Not sure that she is show quality, but I don't care.

That is an awsome picture of the bullseye. Very informative. I love the pictures of your chickens especially the back sitter

Red...today is lock down! I have one of your OE's left, and two of the blue/ green ones. I can really see in the blue ones, very active, just going by a very nice looking air sac on the dark green one. Crossing fingers that they hatch. Here's the thing. If I see a pip in that green one...I am going to be hanging over that bator! I want to make sure I know which one is yours, because yours are in with the other OE's. I better get to see that one hatch, or if a few hatch through the night, and one is yours, I am going to be mad. Maybe they will be different .. and you will be able to tell which is yours. I think I will be able to tell the difference in the blue egg chicks. I wish I had a camera to tape the hatch..lol..
