Bad girl. Stop that crowing.

So the two chickens that are out in Tooele with my BF are, to my knowledge, a hen and a cockerel. My BF swore up and down that they were both roosters and crowing. I told him no, I'm pretty sure the one is a hen. This morning he texts me, "Found where that rooster is laying eggs".

Well here is a laugh for you casa. The chicken math has struck with 4 new chicks from IFA and the 5 teenagers we hatched and you brought over and the chicks the boss is hatching. And now the silkies and show girls we have to get. I think I have to build another coop.

Yep, definitely time to build another coop, haha

Eggs went into lockdown yesterday.... anyone want some EE/OE, or blue/black copper marans or ameracauna chicks??

I have 2 Welsummers cockerels that just hatched a few days ago, they are from Chicken Scratch Poultry eggs. They are free to anyone who wants them.

Lisa, I find that ice cream really helps sooth that disappointment of discovering that your pullet is a cockerel, lots of ice cream, a pajama day, and maybe a sneaky trip to IFA

None of my SBELs hatched. None.
Looks like they quit around day 17 or 18

I only got 2 darling Marans 1 blue & 1 black. Worst hatch ever. There just isn't enough ice cream.
I did go visit Christie at Sunny Brooke to get for sure female chicks to fill the gaps. I have a coop to fill and I just want eggs this summer!

They are in lock down..won't know until Tues. hatch day..or maybe some on Mon. That green one is pretty dark. Hope it's because all is well in there..the air sac looked good when it went into lock down yesterday.

Sundance..still no word from you friend. I may have a PRock for someone is she doesn't want it. Is it supposed to be a girl? I am kind of wondering, because that dot on the head looks a little long for a girl. But, if they were sexed girl?

Dalooras, we both went into lock down yesterday..I also went into lock down today with some EE's. I love the pictures of his birds. Very pretty EE's. I hope I get the variety I see in his pictures of the hens.

I went out to get a couple of pictures on my Favorelle bantam, because she was looking
extra cute this morning..then I got carried away. She is sooo sweet. Comes up to me,
wants to jump up on my knee when I kneel down. Right beside me, looks up at me really
cute.

She has done this since she was a little chick in the house, in the brooder. Stretch out
her neck to get a good look at you.

Sweet Pea and my Welsummer Phoenix...


Phoenix is going to be beautiful!

She's getting red. She should be with the other girls, but with the weather like it's been,
I have to keep her in with the other two, she is not a happy camper with the others, and
they really do pick on her pretty bad. Waiting for green out there! Then when they can
free range, she and the blue A. can hang together.

Here is Mable..I know, kind of a funny name for a pretty chicken. Missy in the background
eating something she probably shouldn't be..straw..I had to tell her no! She's getting big..
and very pretty herself.

Soo friendly too. She always comes up to me too.

My blue that lays a brown egg, my Australorp that just started laying..and my Wheaten,
a very sweet girl. All three of these are very friendly also. Aravis..should have laying hens!

This leghorn should be laying..I keep looking under the coop. If she isn't, it won't be long.
She is NOT a friendly girl..yet. My Australorp has a sweet face.

This..is a sweet leghorn!! I LOVE her..I can't thank Sundance enough for her..guess
what her name is? I'm going ahead and calling her Miss Piggy, she acts just like my
Miss Piggy did at this age. She has to get right in there for the food. That is the NN
I am keeping on the left, and the OE I kept and am hoping is a girl, very pretty, and
all three are very friendly.

See? She has to get right in there. She will scratch on my hand like she is on the ground.
She wants to go up my arm to me, but I can't take a chance of her falling off, this is the
nursery outside, and I have a lot of big girls right under foot here. I just love her.

I haven't heard from that lady, Yes they are sexed girls. I'll take the girl back. I'll let you know when I'm going to Orem. Pretty sure its Tuesday. Going to get Jacques cast off.

I have a pair of Seramas that are 4 weeks old. They are so cute and the Rooster has started crowing. They are so tiny and it cracks me up that the little baby just crows away. I am going to sell them as a pair. If anyone wants Seramas let me know
