Utah!

Thank you Lisa!

Got the two little Houdans home and snuggled into the brooder. My daughters are looking up pics online and giggling at what they will grow to look like.

You are welcome! It was great to meet you guys, I hope they are a great addition :)

Houdans are all sold. I think I have a chicken train coming to Logan on Saturday to pick some up , possibly for Brandi's too Cynthia. I talked to her a few minutes ago and if it does not work i will let her know :)

We will be heading up to Logan on Saturday from SLC, hitch hikers welcome both directions. Lemme know :)

Wow, that is a wild thought to act upon. What ever makes you happy at this point..but ya know..I don't like the idea of you watching movies in it, but it could happen if things keep going the way they are in that situation you are in.
No wild thoughts of moving on, and dating others? Had to ask!

I'd been thinking about a dress for a while previous to that and saving up money for it. No thoughts at all of looking elsewhere for a relationship. I've found the one I want. Just can't have him yet, heh.

I just candled the eggs I took from my broody last night. Not a single one is developing. Day 7.

Wow..that was thinking ahead! I hope "yet" comes sooner than later now.

Man, none of those eggs were fertile? I wonder, how long they were out there, and ~ how cold was it before she found them and started laying herself.
That's a bummer. I like your idea of putting some of yours from the bator under her. She won't know the difference. :D

Me too.

All of the eggs I have in the incubator now are hers, so I think they must have been shocked by the cold where they were. I can't stand to throw them out just yet, though. Isn't that silly? I'm worried I'm candling wrong and I'd die if I threw out a developing egg. I'll try and get a picture the next time I check them.

Here is a few pics of the Wheaten Ameraucana Chicks. Not sure on sexes, Going to have to get Casa over here maybe she can sex them for me.

Whoa! Springtime must be getting close, because this place is buzzing with chicks and eggs. Lisa, I love how sleepy that little snowball is in the pictures.

So, I'm kind of having some mixed feelings at the moment. You guys are going to think I'm being ridiculous, but a few months ago, I ordered a wedding gown to have ready for whenever I finally get married in life. Yeah, I know. I have no wedding, but I'm sick of waiting, dangit! Almost all of my friends and cousins are married or have been married at least once. If I want to waste money on a pretty dress to sit around and watch movies in, then fine. Bah.

Anyway, my dress came in today and I picked it up. It's a little earlier than I expected. I'm happy I finally have it (though I still need to get alterations done) Now all I need is to be getting married, haha. Sorry, just kind of thinking aloud. At least now I won't have to worry about having a dress done on time, right?

You are an angel. I am so glad you have some happiness in your life.

Oh man! I love these, they are my favorite baby, I swear everytime I see one my heart goes crazy. Shoot I cannot tell on these when they are little, I just compare them all and pick out the girliest and cross my fingers. Lol! I still could have sworn that one I gave you was going to be a boy. My SG is crowing again lol! Yesterday and today it started again, when we open the garage. I took the heat light completely away (they have not needed it for a long time) and he started yelling when my DH opened the garage. It is so adorable when he crows, it just makes me love him more. I could just keep him out there in the garage forever, but I know he needs to get out to the coop and have some fun in the sun and have more friends. If he only keeps crowing like he does now, it is not annoying or crazy loud at all, it would be great.....I know you guys can just hear my wheels turning, and where this is going...my neighbors are gonna hate me  I got two FBCM....I had five left in there for lockdown, 1 hatched, this morning I thought I better open the others, and I was too late, two were upside down and drowned/didn't make it, a third was internally pipped and had died, and the fourth I caught in time, it was internally pipped and now it is out running around and doing great. I am glad I looked, but wish I would have tapped the beaks out last night. I t really makes me think stopping the turning early is good, because the last two times I stopped turning a day or two early and they did so good, then this time I forgot, and it was three days, and here they were upside down. It is so hard to say. But now I am back to thinking early works. Bah who knows for sure! Got 2 EE and 2 FBCM from my 12 eggs, so this hatch was so/so. I think the eggs spending time in the forced air while the last hatch stayed in the still air was a bad thing too, I cannot get good hatches from my forced air. On to the next batch....those leghorn/EEs and blue.black.splash marans from DMrippy are due on next Thursday. I need to candle tonight, last time I checked 3 of the 8 leghorn mixes looked iffy. Look at the sunshine!!! I am breaking out the flip flops.

Red, about this dress.....:barnie

You have got to be frustrated. This divorce is taking its time for sure. I know you have found your man, hang in there! If he does not get on the stick and get this deal done then :smack He needs his butt kicked lol!

I bet you look beautiful in your dress. I cannot wait to see you in it, someday, soon :) You deserve the very very best of everything, you are an amazing girl! He better know that!

LOL, Right now they all look like girls to me. But I never have been good at that.
I have decided I need to incubators, one for incubation and one for lockdown. That way I don't have to mess with temps and all that when I go into lockdown, it will already be set.
I am also thinking you would go crazy with hatching if you kept a rooster......
and I would rethink the flip flops...the sun is out but it is freaky cold out there right now.
