Hello Everyone, I finally got a BYC profile!!! So excited now if I can just figure out how to post.....so far it's been a little difficult for me-I'm sure it's an operator error I need help I am looking for a Jersey Giant Breeder in Utah...anyone know of someone????

My house has been on the cold side since sunday...couldn't figure out why my incubator kept dipping down to 98*......finally looked at the programmable thermostat and the batteries had died so the furnace hasn't kicked on....

...I don't know why it never occurred to me to look.

Blujems, I think it's an awesome sign of warmer weather that your thermostat died and you didn't realize within hours that your house was freezing.

One did die on about day three but I picked up the wheatens to keep the remaining houdan company. Dunno what happened, doing great the night before, dead in the morning. 'Tis the business I suppose.

Aw that is sad....wonder what is going on with those? Hope we don't lose anymore. I really want to reimburse you and Lilwanis too! If you pm me your address I would be glad to do it. I have Polish left, if you want another chicken instead even? I have black and white, and solid white, and then hopefully some of the SBEL's and marans hatching today. Now I keep running to check on my babies to make sure they are ok. They have had all their shots so it should just be shipping issues.

Lilwanis, I am coming to SLC on the 30th, If you want another chickie instead Don't be depressed, it will all work out, it takes a little patience with the incubators, then you will be hatching out the wazoo. (Did I really say wazoo?) Man I am getting old.

Sundance do you still have the Houdans from McMurray?, did they all make it?

I know, although I have been so cold, wearing sweatshirts and blankets. Figured it was just me. the house was 56 when I finally looked at the thermostat this morning.

Yes, we have enjoyed the sunshine, and am glad the snow is starting to melt....But oh boy the mud and muck is terrible.

I appreciate the offer, but I feel like I knew the risk of buying her going in. I think that the trip back to SLC was just too much for her after shipping. The others are all doing great they had a brief bout of pasty butt. I added some ACV to their water for the probiotic and that seems to have cleared them up.

The U of A eggs were not expected until June, but I the lady Pam's me when I got back on Friday and sent them Saturday. They arrived yesterday and are in my bator as of a few hours ago. I sure hope I can get them to hatch!!!! I ordered a second hova bator for lockdown. I have some am eggs that are supposed to lockdown tomorrow night. I don't think they survived, but am holding out hope. Sundancen's eggs might be my first to hatch. I sure hope so. I am starting to get depressed.

The eggs i gave you are from the same group that just hatched for me. Hope you have good luck

I lost one of the Houdans. It had a bad scissor beak. Did you give the shipped babies grow gel? I gave mine grow gel and only lost 2 out of 36. I had one that was dead on arrival.
