Red are your icelandics eggs fertile/do we know who is the daddy? I am coming through Saturday and would buy eggs if you have some for sale :)

I was hoping for a nap, but instead went to town with my daughter. What is funny is I just realized the little buck has blue eyes. I am so tired but too tired to sleep at the moment. So I am just in a haze.

Lisa, my Icee eggs should be fertile, but I can't guarantee that they are pure Icelandic. The girls have only been separated from the flock for about 6 days -- it would have been two weeks by now, but my dear family didn't know that I was keeping them in the garage for a reason, and they go let out. The BR cockerel out back may not have bred any of them in that time, and honestly, I think he misses 4/5 times when he tries with the ladies...........but there's still a small chance that the eggs are not pure. If you want to try them, though, I can start setting them aside for you.

I'm down for a nap in about 5 seconds. My manager let me off work early today because I'm just feeling so stressed, and I've got a whole bunch of little health problems popping up that I attribute to stress. Like the canker in my mouth. Or a certain unpleasant something else.........or my back hurting for no good reason. Headaches, nausea............okay done whining

K thanks for the info! I will probably wait then to be sure :) i really need to stop hatching more eggs, although I am having a great time, I am quickly tiring of the pine-shavings-in-the-waterer chores :) Hope you feel better soon girl!

I went to Saratoga springs and looked at that castle coop. That thing was huge. Each turrent was a separate coop. each coop was 9 feet long. Plan is not very well thought out and not cleaner friendly. Cute though, I decided it was too expensive so I am going to pass. Still looking for that special coop for the seramas

Sundance, you guys can't get rid of Razzle! She is such a gem! I forbid it

no Razze,l Xanadue and probably Ribbon are staying here with me. I just need to place Sally then I will be down to 3 cats. That is from 20. Quite a difference. Most of my breeding cages are gone, House feels kind of Empty that is why I have The Serama and her babies in an aquarium in my Living room. On and the quail. Ed went and bought another habitat for the buttons. So now they are stacked large Med and small. I need to get a picture. We are going to take the babies out of the incubator and put them in the small, The 4 3 week old are in the large as the mommo quail is sitting on eggs and we don't want to disturb her

blue, they are adorable! Hope you got some rest.

Well, silly me. I was washing my eggs yesterday, brought in 3 nice looking brown eggs. Was washing away, doing what I always do, >> this one is Rebas, this one is Daisys', this one is Sissy's, then as I was washing the one that I thought was the Australorps, Sissy, I thought to myself, boy, this one is really speckled today, it looks like a Welsummer egg, I don't have a ...wait, yes I do! lol..it had to be the Welsummers', Phoenix. Right in a box!
Went to Cal Ranch today.

Does that tell you anything? They had bantams today. So many had pasty butt. I have never see a pasty butt so bad as I saw on a couple of them. No one was around to complain to. So, I got some paper towels, and cleaned 5 butts. A couple of them took a poo right away. Poor babies.

Have animal control pay them a visit. The will straighten right up. They can get a big fine. I also went to Cal Ranch on 78 and 27 in West Jordan today. I was amazed that they so few chickens. A few bantams and small ducks and quite large ducks. I was looking for garden clogs but they weren't in yet

Does anyone have experience growing garlic? I want to grow my own but I'm wondering what the result would be if I started it now?
Do I have to wait until fall?

I've never grown garlic. It's not interesting enough for me. LOL

Sundance, good luck finding a special home for your cat. I have two small children, so there goes that.

Red, try to take it easy.

Cynthia, I am so happy that you fixed those poor babies up.
