Well, lost the other Icee chick this morning. I think it was failure to thrive. I have to say, as a breeder-in-progress, I feel I have a lot of work to do. 2/7 for a hatch and 0/7 survivors is not acceptable at all.
Oh red I am so sorry

Who's going to Chickenstock in May?
So she is a different hen today....Clucking for the first time since coming here. Moving around and loving the goat milk and bread (plus Jessi's leftover cereal this morning) I think she is feeling better today.
So I am thinking she has not been eating. I have a message into the old owner to see what she was eating before. I don't think she will eat the pellets we have, at least not yet.

You may have gotten your answer already...I grow garlic all year long. The first year I started I planted it in the spring...it was a later start so when I started to harvest in the fall the bulbs were smaller than I wanted so I left the rest in the ground and harvested the next fall...whooo that was a lot of garlic.Does anyone have experience growing garlic? I want to grow my own but I'm wondering what the result would be if I started it now?
Do I have to wait until fall?
