Utah!

Here are photos of my three NN babies that made it. Now, if only the one is a girl. Bet you can't guess which one I like. :D

Top angle..black on top of a white, and the one that looks pure white,
has a tiny spot at the back part of the cap.

Here is the white, with the small amount of black on the top,
has a pretty good bow tie and beard.

I love this brown ones coloring. I can't explain the color. And,
the picture doesn't show it.

Oh Cynthia, they are cute. That one with the little spot on its head has a cute hairdo

New chick picks! These little ones are as big as the chicks that hatched from Sundance's eggs, and they are two weeks old!
Birchen Marans:

This is the one that superglued itself to the egg. I had to take her into a steamed up bathroom and slowly cut her out of the shell. She dragged that shell all over the hatcher and was panting and exhausted. She is smaller than all the others and has a crooked toe.

This one is all black and HUGE. I keep calling it the "fat black chick". It's standing up tall in this pic, but usually it looks like a big black pouf that is wider than it is tall.

These last three look a lot alike. There are two that are blue colored and one that is darker black. The last one has such a cute face...I wish the pic had turned out a bit better. All have feathered legs. So cute. Such big chicks, except the runty one. She seems to be doing OK though.

Cynthia, i am betting you like the one with the fattest bowtie. They are so cute!
Lil, great pics, They are darling!

Sundance, did you get more chickens at the feed store? I have NO idea what you would have picked out lol.

Cynthia's friend Brandi wanted me to post these pics on here chicks she has for sale. She texted them to me this morning...they are $4 ea. The guy she got the eggs from said they were sizzle or frizzle, maybe Polish mixed in ---but the yellow really look like a wheaten Am. or some sort of Ameraucana, see the poofy cheeks? She asked what they are, if any one is certain, please post your opinion! Anyway they are LF, if anybody wants them pm me :)

When I saw them, I thought the same thing, some type of EE, or Ameraucana mix. I think she thought they were sizzle Polish..is that a mix they are doing now? Not sure about that last one though.

Aww, cute babies. I see fuzzy legs!

I always thought "siizzle" meant "frizzled Silkie". Is that wrong? I am not sure

If they are frizzled I could not tell yet...the last one looks *sort of* like a GL polish in color, but the head not so much. I really don't know lol They are cute though!

She said she got 11 out of 14 to hatch, but only pics of the two colors.. so not sure if there are more than two for sale and they just look the same, or if it is just two chicks for sale. That is really a good hatch though, huh! yay! I am glad somebody had a good hatch, sheesh! I am going back to dry incubation, I had so much better luck with that, and I have had goop in all the eggs I have tried with any water. I have the SG eggs coming this week, so I am going dry hatch with those, and I have two broodies out there that I will give a couple to and see what they can do for me. I think I will lock the little back coop up so the other birds cannot get in there from the run , and put the two broodies together inside with their own food and water, so that chicks could access the food and water close, if/when they hatch. Will the two mamas be ok together, will they treat each other's chicks nicely?

sizzle comes in 3 different coats. the silkie, the smooth coat and the frizzle

I bought a black naked neck to go with my white one,  Its living with the quail

So what "breed" is a sizzle? It can have 3 different coats, but what kind is it? Is it a breed all by itself? and then what colors and traits does it have, does it have poofy cheeks? I am totally confused lol I really thought a sizzle was a frizzled silkie.

How cute a black NN, I looked for one when I was down there but they only had buff colored ones. They are so fun :)

All my boys are gone, yay!

And my ornery EE is gone too. Had a nice farmer come pick them up. Now I have only one brooder in my garage with 4, one in my living room with 3 itty bitties, and the rest of the girls are finally outside. Woot!
