Cynthia- these 3 OE's you picked out for me are ALL looking girly still? One does look like it has tree rows of peas on the comb, but no red and still tight to her head. Could it be??? And if so....how did you do that??

Yaay, glad it's working out. I have a black one that I kept also, and is also a girl..for sure! She sure is cute. She is going to have nice muffs..already does! I call her Cleo. Pretty little black pullet.

Is anyone looking for some pullets? These are bantam RIR Rooster/LF Black Australorp hen. These look just like the LF Black Australorp but in large bantam size. I think they actually have more color then the LF hen. I have 2 available and they are 4 months old. These pictures don't do they justice. Oh ya the little rooster is available also.

Thanks, the top two pictures are 1 and the bottom to pictures are the other. I wish they had those big black eyes like the LF. We named the mother Big Eyes just because of that.

Just for fun i have a picture of Momo and her two chicks. They have been outside in the a-frame for a week and tonight i let them out with Ratchet, The a-frame is in Ratchets run. There was a little fighting. Momo tried to fight Ratchet but that didn't go well and only lasted a couple seconds. Then she tried to fight Little Red and got a good bite for that. The only other hen was Cotton who has gone broody again and just wants to be left alone. I went out just after dark and found Momo, Cotton, and Midnight squished into a nest box and the chicks chirping so loud i was worried about the neighbors. Everyone is their own run and settled down for the night.

I'm in Sugarhouse, close to down town Salt Lake City. It's great the county changed the chicken ordinance. So many of us want the convenience of the city with the pleasures of the country. Our neighbors are looking forward to fresh eggs and are very helpful with the chicks. One neighbor girl brings slugs from her mom's garden to feed to the chicks. Watching them run and sun in the back garden is non-stop entertainment.

Yes, so glad the ordinances and regulations have been changed for those people in the city. Chickens are great!!
