She doesn't lay as often as my Reba, red star, so she goes first. Reba just may have to stay. Even DH likes her. She lays almost every day, if not for a couple of weeks in a row, then a day off, then back she goes! Very sweet girl, comes up to people, and is kind to the new pullets.
If you would be willing to bring him up to Chickenstock, I would take him!!Birdman, awww! I wish I could take him, but we already have three cats.And my BF has two. One adopted from the shelter, one that was abandoned and adopted my BF. I hate it when animals are left homeless.
Does anyone want a baby mallard? One of the BYC'ers local to where I am has hatched one that he says is a male, about a week old now. He can't keep him and he has to find him a new home. If someone wants him, I am willing to help get him transported. I would take him, but I'm not set up for ducks and I worry that he wouldn't do well here.
I'm not much into the Marans myself--like them well enough, but I've already got my four happy breeds and Asher's still trying to cram the idea of a whole flock of Ameraucanas down my throat (persistent child!). Of course, he also wants to go to Disneyland and he isn't getting THAT real soon, either...
