Utah!

Desert, I am so sad and disappointed in your peafowl hatch. I'm so sorry! You have got a HUGE hatch going on. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

Silly, that is a gorgeous silkie. How can you tell it's a roo already? You are so nice to foster 8 babies. I've been trying to teach my legbars to go in at night. The girls seem to be getting the hang of it better than the boys.

Cynthia, why are you getting rid of some of your OE? I thought you were still looking for the perfect olive egg?

Sara, I have a black feathered leg cockerel I could give to your brother. I think another chick is a cockerel, but too soon to tell. I think I'm going to try and sell my legbar roosters. They're looking like they'll be extremely great examples of the breed.

Red, loved the pictures. Did you end up giving eggs to Desert to hatch? How did that go? I'm back in town for the forseeable future, so if/when you want me to try my hand at hatching Icelandics, I'm game.

Lisa, I may have gotten cows last year, but I don't like it. They've been so much trouble. So much easier to just buy a side of beef from a local farmer!!!

Here's my legbars. They're getting so grown up. I think they are absolutely gorgeous.

Hey guys, and gals

I know this might be a long shot, but here's hoping

I recently have gotten more into fly fishing, flies can get really expensive, but it just so happens that they are made with feathers. If any of you have any feathers, and different parts (hackles and saddles from culled roosters) that can be used for tying flies that would be awesome, please send me a PM. It doesnt have to be chickens, all kinds of feathers can be used.

Thanks,

Kyle

Red inspired me to take some pictures. My tiny Serama is so cute with her huge brood and my other Tiny Serama hatched two ee chicks.picture below is mom with chicks chuckers and quail that she is raising

Below is my other broody serama with the two ee she hatched

Below are the colors off eggs I am getting. The tiny egg on the far right is from my pullet Auracana. Its really blue. The dark brown one is from Maude my head hen. The tan one is from my turkin and the Huge olive egg is from a hen I can't figure out. She is laying an olive egg every day bit I can't figure who she is, That big egg is almost as big as a duck egg. The white egg is from my polish einstein

Sundancen, did you rehome all of the olive eggers I gave you? Maybe it came from one of them. Your little broody is so cute.

I think my little frizzled hen (Lady Di) has gone broody. It's tough to tell for sure. She's parked in the corner of the coop, but if I come close, she runs off. She's always been very skittish. I thought broody hens would stay close to their "nest" even if they were scared.

I have one hen that I thought was a black sex link, Maybe she is the OE you gave me. I thought in the hub bub of placing chickens I got them mixed up. She is colored like Maude my black sex link so I thought that is what she is but maybe is is the OE you gave me. Would they be colored like a black sex link. I also have a pullet that has furry leg and feet that I thought was a black copper maren but maybe she is the OE. She hatched from a copper browm egg but if her dad wa a EE that would mke her the OE. Its a mystery. Your girl may just be starting to be broody. A true broody will not run

If anyone is interested, I have the Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Trio that still needs to go. 2 hens and 1 rooster. Or just the hens if wanted. They are a year old. Also have a beautiful EE rooster.

Also just in case anyone is looking for goats....I have lowered the prices on the website...the junior does are at great prices and all come with registration papers.

Okay I would still like her. I still haven't put away our brooding box.

Where do you live? Do you want me to save her for you? I have them all on ksl. Someone has called, and I have told them the two were gone that Brian wants, do you want this little blue? I am giving the young ones to those one here for free. Let me know that you want her for sure..and I am guessing, it's a her. :)

Brian, guess I'll see ya later!

Sphinx, I have several OE's...I have hatched more. I have another blue, and this real pretty red/brown one that I'm keeping to watch, and two out there that will be laying in a month or less, the other probably a month and a half. I think I'll be getting some Olive Green eggs!
