Desert, before I forget, I may have a present running around in my back yard for you. I have been watching my little Delaware "pullet", and she has a lot more barring than I'd expect from a girl. It could just be poor hatchery quality, but I dunno. Her face is already hot pink, even if the comb is small. Her friend the BSL, who is the same age, is only just going a light shade of pink. If my Delaware turns out to be a boy, you are more than welcome to her! And if she is indeed a girl, I'm gonna have one huge, boyish hen out there, judging by the size of her feet.
Haha nahhh, Ed loves me
Or at least, he used to before I suggested this
I would have made a witty remark about the fan thing, but I don't want you hurting if you laugh again.
My girls love to hide eggs from me in our ivy. It's dark and cool and I honestly think my Leghorn gets a good laugh out of seeing the dumb human climb through all of those vines for eggs.
It's nice to have connections with so many people who take good care of their birds, isn't it?
The two you are getting from Cynthia look sooooo pretty!
that's a great idea! I will help set it up for you

oh red you make me kaugh and it hurts. Are you volunteering for the fan? I am going to share this with Ed as we have everything listed. He'll probably want oi kill you hahaha. I went outside this morning and let the chickens out. I had kept them locked up and a friend was coming to mow the lawn and I worried about the babies not being seen. They were very put out with me. Pretty much said whats up with this? They ran past me out to the grass, The mom with the babies walked slowly out with the babies behind her. Funny thing. Chucky the partridge followed behind herding the the babies. He is so cute with all the babies and it amazes me how tolerent the moms are with him. they chase the other hens away but tolerate the partridge who is devoted to all the babies.

Casa I'm so jealous your NN's are laying. The one I got from you is what almost 5 months old? I have to be doing something wrong with her. And I have to agree with you, she is a tank, she is huge. And is my biggest chicken too. Maybe I need to go dig through the Ivy on the side yard, she's always in there during the hot part of the day, unless I kick them out, and push them up into the shade and close the gate.

I'm excited to have those girls! They always catch my eye when I'm over at your place Cynthia. I am only getting chickens from a few people on here, I want to do it right and don't want anymore sick chickens. I know you all take great care of your flocks.
