Utah!

Yuck on the stress fractures and plantar fasciaitis. I'm a little concerned I have the latter- the bottom of my foot, towards the back end of the arch hurts a bit in the morning, and it worse if I was walking around a lot the day before. So far, glucosimine and ignoring it has worked pretty well.

Red, yay for another chick! I'm glad you got the stink bombs out of there. SOOOOOO gross that one burst on you! I'm also glad you got your tooth fixed. Sounds utterly miserable.

We're supposed to backpack to King's peak this weekend. I'm hoping there's some meteor showers still left! I'm having trouble with one of my clients' closings, so I'm a little afraid I'll have to postpone the trip. Keep your fingers crossed it works out.

32???!!!?????!?!??!?!?!?

There are not enough "wow" words to articulate how crazy cool that is.

CONGRATULATIONS! She really is adorable, love all that dark hair! So pretty!

Sphinx, hope your closing wraps up on time. Where is King's peak?

Congrats, She is beautiful...My first is coming in Nov. and I am getting very excited.

Yesterday was a stressful day.
I was going to wait to take my Tink in for a spay and teeth cleaning until after our move in a few weeks, but felt like it needed to be done so I called monday and scheduled her for yesterday. Went to pick her up and was told that she was in the early stages of Pyometra. If I had waited until after the move we would have most likely lost her....I am learning to trust my gut on stuff, and so happy I listened this time. She is doing well and eating and drinking but moving slow. Seems to be enjoying the princess treatment.

Cynthia...WOW

32... That's a lot of grand kids. Congrats, sure is beautiful, and all that hair...

Wendy I loved Kings Peak, but I haven't been up there in years. I hope you can go.

Lil, did you still want to try to meet up with either me bring your chick here or I can give you a chick or 2 from here, I only have 25 Bantam chicks here, well only until Friday, then I should be down to about 15 or so after Brian comes and takes his littles. Then I will start to thin them out. Specially now since I'm sure there are 2 Frizzles in there. So now I don't really have to watch them feather out much longer. So your more then welcome to have a few if you want. Either way is fine with me. I can meet up until 5pm tonight, I have Back to School tonight, or I can even meet up after 8pm if you want too. Just let me know.

Cynthia, your new grandbaby is just precious! Just beautiful. Congratulations!

Blujems, I am so glad you got your dog treated in time. Good for you for listening to your gut. Hope she makes a quick recovery.

King's peak is the highest peak in Utah. It's in the high Unitas.

Sounds so fun! I am a mountain girl. Love being in the mountains. I have explored a good portion of Idaho's but so much left to see here in Utah! Will have to put that on my bucket list! Be sure to get some pics for us and be safe!

Silly, Cynthia's friend Brandi is taking some of the SG mix babies and hatching eggs so we are still looking for a ride to SLC for them. Will get yours to you soon :) I may make a trip up in a week or two when school gets started. If anybody here goes from Logan to SLC in the next bit and can do a chicken train let me know :p Also quail chicks to get to Gary.

Either way, I can meet you with a chick or 2 if you want, they are all straight run of course, but I did get them all vaccinated, and they all seem happy and healthy. Or I don't mind bringing it here. I have plenty of chicks to keep it company right now. Even when Brian comes to get his 8-10 at the end of the week. I don't even know what a Bresse is. I will have to go look it up. Just let me know, I'm in Utah County, but can meet you if its before 5pm tomorrow somewhere.

I am back at work again, so not off until 5:30. After 8 works fine. The Bresse are my dream chicken, but I have three hens and don't really need any more eggs. I had planned on having them as a sustainable meat flock (they mature faster than other dual purpose breeds but not as fast as the US meaties. Much healthier, rated as the best meat bird in the world and good egg layers), but since I can't keep a rooster, they don't do me much good there. I was going to sell them, but with only one hatched, I feel like I need to take better care of it. If you are over run with chicks, I can meet you and pick a few up from you. If you would like a bresse chick, I am fine that way too. They get big and eat a lot, so there is that to consider.
