Utah!

Several of my girls are molting too. Feathers EVERYWHERE.
This is very typical of chickens this time of year. They're preparing their new feathers for winter.

Earlier this year, in April, I had a rat problem. 6 weeks later the rats were gone. Yesterday I saw 2 more rats. How can I keep these critters AWAY? Accepting all advice, thank you.
Keep your feed in metal bins/trashcans that are sealed, make sure you have a secure run and no feed lying around.

Can we trim the "flight feathers" of our chickens?
Yes, trim one wing to offset the flying balance.

Helping a guy in vernal with hatching quail, we should have a new visitor on here soon :)

Sean, HI if you are on here! :frow

He may check with Corvidae and Desert Springs about a possible chicken train if I can get quail chicks to one of them in the future :)

Hey, where are those two anyway?

Red how you doing? Any leads on jobs yet?

Thanks! This is gonna take me a bit to figure out

It takes a bit to figure it out! after you hit the quote button, then you type underneath the info that pops up in the window :) By the way,
:welcome

Glad to see you made it! This a great forum with people that have great information. If you have any questions about chickens or hatching this is a great place to start! And lots of Utah friends on here :D

And....after you post ten times you can post pics and add one for your avatar. So make sure you reply back to everybody that says welcome haha ;)

There are a few night owls that get on here, but more in the morning for sure.

I don't think we have any regulars that are clear over to the East, so it is great to have you on here Sean! So next question everyone will want to ask, what kind of chickens you have ?

Hi I'm Sean and trying to figure this out. I live in Vernal and have had chickens for a few years now and with the help of La Casa de Pollo I'm getting into quails!
