Question: My original Chick (probably about 5 weeks old) is keeping one eye closed.

Now remember, I am totally new and naive to this.
This is the one we basically rescued from a horrible place.

Suggestions?
Everything is closed tomorrow, but I am also the person who would take this chick to the vet if I wasn't told from day one not to.

Do you have any Colloidal Silver on hand? Just wipe the eye, and even squeeze a couple of drops in it from a paper towel. I love that stuff. Worked for my DH too a couple of years ago when anti-bitotics weren't working..this did.

Hi, I am new here. I am getting a little program with my Chickens started. I raise, and am starting to hatch these breeds:

BLR Wyandottes
Turkens
Porcelain d'Uccles
Mille Fleur d'Uccles
Silkies
Black Breasted Red Old English Game Bantams
Wheaton Old English Game Bantams
Ginger Red Old English Game Bantams

I am already hatching
Silver Phoenix
BLRW
BBR Old English Game
Wheaton Old English Game

Here is what I currently have available:

3 Silver Phoenix Chicks (4 1/2 weeks old)
1 Black Farm MIX (4 1/2 weeks old) Half Buff Brahma Bantam

I also have 5 Phoenix eggs and 2 BBR OEG that are supposed to hatch Friday.
The majority of the eggs I will be hatching in the next month to few Months will be Phoenix, as I have about 20-25 Phoenix eggs in the incubator.
The first BLRW should hatch a week from Tomorrow. I will also have some Mille Fleur and Porcelain chicks available in about 1-2 months.

I am only hatching a few here and there so hurry and get on my list! I will be hatching more of these breeds in the Spring.

Let me know if you want to get on my list for a certain breed or a few breeds.
There are already a few people on my list so hurry so you get a good spot!

Had a photo shoot today! Thought I'd share...

The mom of this grey hen was a silver laced wyandotte... What could the father have been? Do you see the brown tint on her bosom? She hasn't earned a name yet...

This weeks eggs from our White Leghorn cross, and bantam Barred Rock. (Our Wheaten Ameracauna is molting... I think)...


So my wife and I went for a walk... and this is what we saw! ^

As for the Silver.... I do not have any on hand. I wouldn't even know where to get it.
I would have gone to get some meds for chickie today, but everything is closed Sunday :-(

Her water has Apple Cider Vinegar and there is minced garlic in her feed.

But I will be there tomorrow to get some meds for her. Wish me luck! If anything happens to this one, my heart will simply break.
