Utah!

my friend took pics of her hen and pigs but i am not one to steal pics like that. but picture 5 or so baby pigs with a buff orp on top trying to puff up as much as she can and stretching out to try to cover them, all while giving the eye to the person taking the picture.

I can totally picture this. The mothering instinct is strong

The-bird-man. Yes I do tan them and all of that. It will start working my smoothily when I can drive so that my mom doesn't yell at me for having smelly dead animals in the car.

Cynthia. The ones I shoot would taste like Utah lake. They live right by it. I had cows down by the lake and had one butcherd and it tastes exactly like the lake. So I just use it as bait to trap. I will say that i don't eat them because I am not man enough If u payed me I would eat it. Like when my cousin gave me $100 for eating rocky mtn. Oysters.

My grandpa used to duck hunt up near the GSL, and those birds tasted swampy, but he would marinate the meat before cooking. You could still taste the swamp water, but it wasn't enough to deter me from gobbling down pieces of duck. Mmmmm. And you are brave for trying the RMO's..............My fiancee grew up on a ranch where they had them fresh from all of the young rams they had to neuter. He likes them

they are pretty good. The RMOs I just use the duck to trap with.

Karen, I meant to say so earlier, but yep, you definitely have a phantom rooster running around out there. I hope he stays quiet for you! A special few are pretty quiet about their crowing, so maybe

Red you think I really do have a Roo out there? I wonder who it could be. The only one that I think it could be would be the NN/SG Mix I got from Lisa. I think it was hatched the 2nd week of August. So would be it even be old enough? Because everyone else out there are all from the Spring hatching, and even though only 5 of them even starting laying eggs before the winter hit, and now I only have my NN, and RIR that are still laying. I haven't gotten an egg from either if my EEs or my FBCM/LB/EE mix for almost 3 weeks now. Not really bugging me.

But I do have a few that I got from Brian during his moving time, but those are all hatchery sexed females. So I do have a NN, BO, LB and Sussex out there from July, but those are all hatchery sexed. And none look boyish to me. Hmmmm….

Now if I really do, Lets pray he his quiet, but I love all 18 I have out there. Yes, 18. Way over my limit, but who really is going to come in my back/side yard and count them. lol

Well they were for sure 1/2 the size of the 2 Roosters that I had, both don't have the long streamers like the 2 Roo's have, and they both don't have a comb at all, not really even a bump. I have not had any eggs from either one, nor have they gone broody, like you thought they would do when the snow hit. I sure hope its not one of them. I will literally cry if I have to get rid of one of them if it starts crowing. The first Roo started crowing at 8 weeks, and the other one started at about 10 weeks. Both were really loud.

do you still have any of those bantams? they can be tricky, maybe its one of them.

Oh ya the reason i am saying this is because i re looked at the pictures of your eggs (on a better screen) and they are defiantly fertile. You can really see the bulls eye on the single picture.

Well my daughter just wanted to eat the Maran egg, she was so excited about it, and when I cracked it out, yup big fat white dot on a first egg. Crap. I wonder who he is. Guess I need to outside and get a photo of all that I know hasn't laid an egg, and have a fun guessing game with everyone. And I have 2 FBCM and CCM outside, not sure which one this egg came from, But I'm almost positive all 3 Maran's are girls.
