Utah!

Well now since we know they are fertile for sure, I almost wish I had an incubator to see what they would look like. Crap, now I'm going to have to buy one and try it out. I for sure can't have anymore chickens. I have 18, and I've already thought about which 3 will now most likely 4 with the Roo will have to find a new home in the Spring. 18 is way over my limit.

Most likely will be getting rid of my Sussex, Light Brahma, and sorry to say it Brian, but your NN. That chicken hates me. She's totally fine with my kids, but she attacks the crap out of me, every time I go out there, she's attacking me. Don't know why, but man can she get you. Maybe that is the Roo, for a NN, her neck is bright red most of the time, like a turkey bright red, and the top head feathers are so much different then my laying NN. And my Laying NN doesn't have a bright red neck at all, and is so very sweet. Hmmmm… I might have to go look up some NN Roo photo's.

Karen, what kind of "attacking" does the NN do? If it's just grabbing your pant leg and being bossy about demanding food or attention, it's probably just a dominant female. But if it's full-on jumping at you, kicking, and trying to drive you away, I think it's a good bet that that may be your roo. My other guesses would be Hokey Pokey or one of the EE's, as they can be really sneaky.

I would love some pictures, please!

No the NN, flaps the wings at me and trys to chase me out. But if I stop and pick it up and it stops, and usually will let me hold her/him, but has bit me and drew blood a few time. Now has never, not once gone after my 2 or 5 year old, and both can pick her up, and she is fine. The stupid bird just hates me. lol

I will have to get photo's tomorrow. I just posted the NN/SG Hokey Pokey photo's. Could be that one. The EE's no! Both lay eggs, well haven't gone my green or blue egg for over a week, but they both lay eggs.

Silly, it's hard to tell for sure from photos, but I'd guess those eggs are fertile. If you want to make a trip up here, I'd be happy to incubate a batch for you so you can see what pops out.

Its bugging the crap out of me that I'm sitting here looking at incubators on Amazon. Just so weird that those spots just magically showed up last week, and some are huge, others not as huge. And even the Maran egg I got today, the first one :D had a huge white dot.

Well I will get some photo's of them all tomorrow, and we can all try to guess which one it is. At least I haven't heard any crowing, or I would really be screwed because we are over our chicken limit here. But I don't think anyone of my neighbors really care, most have chickens, but a crowing rooster. That would probably not work here.

As promised… Here are like a million photo's of my lovely ladies, and the Mr. Secret Roo. I still have no idea who "HE" could be. Any thoughts.

Most of the group under the pine tree where there is no snow. Yes, I shoveled under too there so they have mostly dry dirt under there.

Miss/Mr Bossy Pants. NN Hatchery sexed Pullet, July, not sure on this one though. And after really looking at her with my laying NN, the wattles are much larger already, and they are shaped different. And has those pointy top feathers off the neck, my laying NN doesn't have them.

Little Devil Japanese Bantam-May, NO EGGS, this bird is so flighty that I'm shocked I even got photo's of her. This is the trouble bird, she's always flying over my 6 foot fence. But she comes back every time.
