Utah!

Thanks! I'm just trying to talk my husband into letting me get one. He's like your already over your limit already, what are you going to do with more. I was like its for fun. Like your stupid remote control car hobby, and he spends hundreds on those stupid cars, just to go and wreck them racing them.

But I think it would be fun to make a Quail coop, I've always wanted to try Quail eggs.

But I'm just frustrated on who the Roo is. Driving me nuts that I don't' know who I have to find a home for. And I'm driving myself crazy looking at all the incubator options. There is just too many choices. hahaha.

Okay I'm thinking of getting this combo kit. Anyone used one, and is this everything that I will need. You all know if I start this, I will be begging to hatch all your eggs for you. :D

This is exactly what I am using right now, and have used this summer. I'm doing the NYD Hatch A Long. Have some Rhodebars in, and one splash Marans egg left. Here are some photos of some of my hatches.

The first photo..some Seramas. :)
The second photo, Silkie and SG.
I have more..won't post them all..more Seramas, more silkies. Seems I got into the small ones again. I did some cochins too. I have the cutest little black cochin I call Charlie, because her feathers are so full, she walks like Charlie Chaplin. Also, I did Leghorns, and just hatched not too long ago some RIR's. Had pretty good hatches except for this last photo..silkies and SG..hard to hatch those little stinks.

So that is a good price for that incubator. But what would I do with all the chicks if I hatch them out. Do you have a pretty good rate on selling them for a few bucks. I totally want to do it as a little mini hobby. But I would have to buy some eggs from people in the near future.

Cute chicks. :D

If you'd like, I can lend you my cheapy still-air incubator, but it's not very reliable

You have to babysit it all day to keep the temps and humidity accurate. I hate that thing. I'm going to need to make a trip soon to see Gary anyway, so let me know.
Red, does this mean you have some eggs for me?

Red if you have some eggs, I might buy some from you because I'm going to want a few other eggs to through in there. I still can't believe I even have fertile eggs, and I want to at least have some from a proven Rooster so my 5 year old isn't sad that none hatch.

I might have some BSL eggs. Let me know and i can start collecting them for you.

What are BSL eggs? I really think I'm going to buy one. I'm dying to see if they are really fertile. How much do you want per egg, and do you want them back. I might keep one or two of what I hatch, but I have 18 right now. So I need to thin out some as it is.

Black Sex link. I also could give you some mixed eggs. I have this white EE mix i got from Sundance that i would like to try to hatch some eggs from. I think the chicks would have some nice color with my RIR rooster. Her eggs are sky blue so the chicks should lay olive eggs. I also have some BLRW eggs fertilized by my splash Silkie roo. I don't want anything for these mixed eggs, I only sale the ones that are pure breeds. Sorry but no i don't want them back i all ready have my new flock of layers. the only eggs and chicks i want right now is pure breeds. I love the mixed breed for their color and egg laying, i use them for my laying flock.

I BOUGHT AN INCUBATOR! My husband isn't too thrilled with me about it. But I'm like on cloud nine that I might see what I could possibly hatch. Now… I need help. Its coming from Idaho, so hopefully I have it by Thursday the latest, did say 4-14 day shipping, but there actual shipping page on their site says it comes ground Fedex and to Utah is 2 days, so here's hoping. I got it from Incubator Warehouse, they seemed to be the cheapest and it was a combo set. I got the Hovabater with the fan, temp gauge, and candler. So freaking excited. Now I have to set up the brooder upstairs again. Oh well, its going to be so much fun. I can't wait.

Now I have 2 Eggs that I kept out of the fridge today since they were still warm when I got them. I did write on them with a pencil 12/29 so I remembered, and they are with the pointy side down in the egg crate, and I do have them on an angle. How should I store them to wait for incubating? I will hopefully add 2-3 more to them tomorrow, but I do have to run up to Salt Lake in the morning and everything seems like if I don't' get it in the first 30 minutes they are like frozen cold.
