Here are some pics of our gals.

The two younger gals kept flying up and over! We decided to just let them free range eventually but hat to cover the run for times we needed to keep them in. Naughty girls, lol. The other two were to big and heavy to get up that high. I think they were secretly jealous.

Oneflightychick, welcome! I love your pictures. Your girls are very cute. And I'm glad Priscilla has found a home with you. I used to have a couple of rescue hens that were in pretty poor shape when I got them. After a few months, they'd plumped up so much that they didn't even look like the same birds! What area of Delta are you from? My fiancee has some property in Sugarville.

I was out feeding everyone this morning and heard a "peep peep" from somewhere. I guess Nora decided to give me an early Valentine's Day present

I love your cute voice cooing and talking with Nora. So sweet. Congrats on the grandbaby!

@RedIII
Nora and her baby are so precious! Congrats!
Thank you for the welcoming. We lived in town east of Main st. I'm not originally from there.

Trying to catch up!

Cynthia, that is scary that your daughter had melanoma. Glad they caught it in time. I'm even happier that you all decided to get checked. I actually went in for my first mole check about 3 weeks ago. There was nothing of note, which made me happy.

Lisa, that is really scary that you have had it removed as well, and had a tumor on your collarbone.

Red, your fishing trip looks like it was a wonderful success! I want to be friends with you on fb! That little chick is sooooo cute! What a proud mama.

Acemario, I have my eggs turn as frequently as possible, and I don't use the auto cooling feature. Just a little chicken for that. I also set the temp at 99.6, mainly because I do most of my incubating in the basement, where it's around 63. I fill one side of the well, and don't mess with it until the water is pretty much gone. When lockdown happens, I take out the turner and put in a piece of felt that I've cut to size. Then I fill both wells and wait. Good luck with your hatch!

Silly, sounds like your hatch is going MUCH better this time. Congrats!

Melisajv, I think jail is good for the egg eaters. Hopefully you can find a rehabilitate the culprit.

Welcome, OneFlightyChick!

oneflighty..we are neighbors! For now. :)

Love your photos..they all look so happy and content. Cute little dog too.

sphinx, we have a son that went in for a mole check up along with the whole family. He came back with one also stage 2. Interesting thing. He is not on that side of the family, but, went ahead and had the check over. Good thing! Poor guy. This is our son in law that has been through many surgeries for a brain tumor. Not cancer, but he has had to go to having a shunt and like I said, many other surgeries. He can't stand too long, passes out, is real shaky in the hands. Pretty sure having brain surgery hasn't helped much at all. In fact, have to wonder at this point if it is doing more harm than good, other than he really did need one to change the shunt, it wasn't working. Now this melanoma. Poor family.

Austin went in for his check up yesterday. Wrote us and they say his look good. They aren't going to take any off. Have to say, that makes me nervous, because he had one that I was already worried about before he left..but didn't have it looked at. So many things were going on, you just don't think of a silly mole! Will take him to a specialist when he gets home.

Anybody wanting to get rid of a coop big enough for maybe four hens and a rooster.

Yes. We built one to be a breeding pen but my neighbor's disagreed with the whole crow thing. It is 4x8 coop with a divided run. We had a divider inside initially and removed that when the boys left. I am on my way out the door (at work). I'll let you know more later (Silly and a few others have seen my coops. My DH did a kick butt job with both coops but I only need the one now).

Not a chicken picture but thought i would share. this is a seed that came up from a Black Velvet Petunia . (dint mind the mold growing in the corner, it has been addressed) This came back up in a planter that i had close to a mix of sugar daddy's. The original plant was a Black Velvet but it will will be crossed with a sugar daddy. This has become one of my side projects this winter after i noticed the little plant growing in the planter last fall. Most of my planter pots reseed them selves and i pick and choose what grows and what doesn't. Its leafs are a little light to be a dark flower but i am keeping my fingers crossed.

Love sugar daddy's, one of my favorite colors.....this is really interesting, I can't wait to see what the color will be! I did not know they would mix like that when close together! I have only had the black velvets once on my patio, but they were so dark it was hard to see the blooms so I usually pick out something more colorful. They do look really cool though, very unusual. Looks like not much longer before you will find out!!
