Cynthia, I saw your brooder on the brooder contest tread! That is awesome. Beats my now dog crate, which I'm going to be done using here once I get my chicken wire on the shipping crate that I just bought for a brooder for the garage for the Hatch along chicks.
You should really make them and sell them, I bet people would buy them up.I posted my shipping crate brooder for the older babies, and I had about 5 or so people PM me asking where they could get shipping crates like that, so crazy. But they really are super easy. It took me all of 5 minutes to cut out the door for the one I just made for the 6 week old babies to go outside. I still need to get the door on there, so I can lock them in. Maybe that will be this week project. They seemed fine last night, and I guess all boxed in they should be warm right? They are for the most part fully feathered now.
We originally made that for our mama dog and pups. But it makes for a great brooder. I told my DH he should make them and sell them. It wasn't too expensive to make. I have to go see yours now.
