21 silkie babies! Out of 26 that went into lock down. The best I've done with silkies in a long time. Blacks, blues, and I think some of the blues are splash. At least that's what I am hoping.
When they are ready, I will be selling the black one for sure, and I will see which blues I will keep, Lisa, one of these blues belong to you if you want..unless you are waiting on the others to hatch. They are due in 2 days..I was thinking tomorrow, but I was off..but if they do like this hatch, could have some babies tomorrow. BBS and I have tiny little paint eggs in there. I worry about those, they are so tiny. :/

Wow! Nice hatch. So tempting on the Splashes and Paints. They are like eye candy outside.

but, I already promised my husband that the black one I got from Iluv was going to be the last.... besides, I'd have to set up a second brooder for the new babies (yeah, I'd have to get at least two! lol). Plus, I have yet to build a coop! >.< ugh.... I don't want to make it too much bigger than I need, because my husband and I JUST built a new shed 2 months ago ... (no, can't use it for the chickens lol). so, I'm trying to come up with plans for that...

Wow! That is an impressive hatch! Congrats, Cynthia!!! I'm sorry that you didn't get any whites! I know that you mentioned that you were hoping to get some white chickies. Maybe in with the paint babies? If you do sell the blacks I would love, love, love 1 or 2 or 7... Lol!

The group shot, there are still two in the bator..waking up. There are too many strong ones now that would stomp on the new ones. One is a light blue, and one is a dark blue in the bator.

Looks like I will have plenty to go around! I am not keeping any blacks. No whites, can't believe it. And she has such a gorgeous white boy! I am not interested in keeping a lot of blues, probably only a two. I want to keep a few of the lights in hope of a splash or two. The group shot, there are still two in the bator..waking up. Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tons of cuteness. Yes, I will gladly buy the blues, that you are not keeping! Dibs!

Cynthia are you looking for a White? I'm pretty sure my 11 week old is a pullet, but I could be wrong, she has nice feathering. I would trade her for a blue or splash, or even a paint if you get a few. With my luck I will trader her for a rooster. lol

Here I went out to check on them and they are out in the main back yard in the mega long grass that needs to be mowed, and they are right in the middle of the main flock. Guess I won't have any issues putting them all together. Yippee.... Because I want the babies to go outside and play this weekend when its going to be in the high 70s.











Look at my little Serama/Silkie, she is so tiny.





Here is my 1 year old Japanese Bantam. She has been getting me in trouble this week, so I might have to re-home her. So she quit being Broody, and is jumping my 6 foot fence on the wooden fence side, and is causing issues with the neighbors dogs. She's either going to get eaten or Animal Control is going to be called. She has been over there 4 times the last week. And my neighbor is now getting really mad, because his dogs are kenneled 24/7 but they are starting to dig to get out to get her. I've been trying to give them full free range for 5-6 hours a day in the main yard with all the main grass, and then they have their huge run and side yard, so its not like she is confined. I don't know I really think I'm going to have to sell her.

I got a white!! With a vaulted head, now waiting for it to dry off to see how bearded it is.
