Utah!

Oh no, it wasn't from one of mine?  I can't remember if I gave you a Partridge or now, I know there was the White, the Chocolate, and Partridge?  I'm so sorry, but they were only about 4 weeks old when I gave them to you,  I'm so sorry if it was mine.

The partridge silkie she brought me was one she picked up in Arizona :D, He is 6 + months old, GORGEOUS boy! Will need to get a pic of him. He is already mating the black showgirl and white showgirl hens, yay! My little black roo is getting along splendidly in the same pen too, so things are going well.

Red, your birds are being a handful. They need to go in time-OUT~~! Stinkers. What is it about the luck with turkeys? Gah. If you need me to get any from birdguy when I go to Idaho next let me know, I would be glad to help out. :hugs

Oh, thank you for the reply. That english game looks lovely. I have been sizing up my set up recently, and I think I actually should make it a little bigger before adding on another member right this minute, but if you still have him by then, I will be sure to keep you in mind, and pm you just in case.

I have no plans on culling so you are welcome to one (or six

) whenever you are ready. And they are beautiful you can take your pick, they have different personalities.

Im excited for tomorrow. We are going to pick up my chickies a nice big run. Its going to be their sheltered run to keep them dry & safe and then I hope to make room for another turn out area where they can play in the sun when they are being monitored. I can set there run into two different sizes and I am wondering which you guys think is better? I can make it 6ftx22ft long, or 12ftx16ft long. Maybe its a be a dumb question, but im having a hard time deciding which is better? The length or width for a silkie coop? If I make it longer then I would have a wider turn out space in front of it, and if I make it wider it would look nicer in this spot but might not leave much of a turn out space. Im going to cover the top with a weather proof tarp and then fill it with sand. Just trying to decide how to set the run up lol.
grats on getting your run! personally, I would do what you feel fits best for your yard... either way you do it, it's going to be HUGE! and the silkies will make great use of it either way. I guess you also have to figure out your tarp, and what size it is.

My eggs go into lockdown tonight by my broody mama:):) so excited! I cant wait to hear little chirps coming from the broody coop lol. Wish me luck that they all hatch. Thank you again Red for the eggs!

Yay! Congratulations! If you ever have extra eggs I would be happy to take them off of your hands for you. :D I would love to hatch some silkies, but I keep hearing that they're harder to hatch. If I could get some local eggs and avoid shipping that would be awesome! Not to mention that your little black showgirl has one of the sweetest faces I've ever seen! She is beautiful!

I would be glad to send eggs your way :D, I figure I should wait about two weeks, so the eggs are for sure fertile, if I head to SLC after that I will let you know.

I am very interested to know what color babies i would get with the partridge roo over black and white girls, so it would be a fun test hatch. I am scared to set eggs myself, I would end up keeping way too many of the chicks. The girls with him are two white bearded silkies (fluffy!) one was crazy expensive and SQ, and then a white Sg hen and that little black SG hen. The roo is really nice, his toes are perfect, and lots of fluff on his legs. Crest is not as rounded as my black roo, but the hens should make up for that. I am not sure which rooster I will keep after the black one grows out, so will keep both unless I have a problem or it gets noisy.

Cant wait to see your babies Brian! Good Luck!

I would even come to you! It would be a fun outing with the my kids! :)

When I asked this sweet little sis if she would like to do something special to celebrate preschool graduation, she told me she just wants to have a sleep over tonight in the coop with her chickies! :) She sure does love her girls! (Almost as much as her mama does!)
