Utah!

Ok, I will leave a lamp on, it's just a 100 W. bulb at this point for new babies.  The three EE's have had a light in the nursery, so it will probably be a good thing.  She was friendly when I went to see her in the kennel she was in at first.  She came right up to the little door and peeked right up at me.  :)

Glad she is doing well....she is so cute. Love the feathered feet I think she will be gorgeous! Looks like she has new buddies, that is great!

I'm taking Salvador back to IFA today, I'm sad because we've turned him into a pet. He's been a great pet too. I think the hardest part is how sad my kids are. I defiantly prefer his noise to the noise of my neighbors yapping dog.

So you took the roo you were hoping I could take? I totally understand and was trying to find a time when husband wasn't home to just put him with the flock. If you still have him I'd be willing.

So IFA will take any roo or just ones hatched there? I've got 8 banty roos (1 OEB on hold for someone on this board but can't recall who), but they are gamebirds. I know ppl eat them too so I'm lame and keep feeding them...

Im looking for two cotchin pullets (dont care about details of color, etc. Or, two EE pullets. My 7 is now 5 and that's just not enough to support my addiction. word on the street is I can have a up to 15. The officer that inspected should have kept that quiet.

I have one cochin and one ee you are welcome to come see what I have

Anyone have this happen before? In all of my years having hens starting to lay, I have never seen this. I saw my Black OE go into a nest box, then she moved over to where the RIR had been..of course, have to use the same box. So excited to see what color she would lay. She was panting soo hard. I waited, then when I saw her out under the straight out coop, I hurried to go see. This is what I found. Two! The size of bantam eggs. No other chicken was in there but the RIR, and her brown one was in there too. I have no other chicken that is ready to lay a colored egg..they were hers.
What!?!? That is a modern day miracle!!!!!

I'm sorry, this morning was a tuff one, the neighbors were not happy with me at 5am. I have ducks in my front yard and I guess The rooster put him over the edge. He was getting loud and pretty aggressive with my girls.
