Thank you so much for offering that cutie up to me! I am in need of no more boys now though, I have my blue and black boys so they can make splash /blue and black babies

And a spare partridge silkie roo! If I put anymore roosters out there my neighbors will hate me so much worse

Yes I will let you know if that little one leaves my place you will be the next stop. I should not have kept it so long, sheesh it is harder to rehome them the older they get!

Cynthia, a blue and black yes! Will let you know what I end up with.
Ok, sounds good! :)

okay, so I have to rehome a 7 week old EE Mix (newly realized) Cockerel that I just got from La Casa. He just decided to start crowing this morning.... and just yesterday, I was looking at it, thinking "hrm.... its' comb is starting to look very red". So, if anyone is interested, I will be posting him on KSL later this evening/tomorrow as he's got to go fast. Can't have crowing roosters here... (well, none at all really)

it's the white one (has a few gray flecks in his feathers)

Edit: he has found a new home!

RJ, it sounds like you've got a great rooster! Yaaaay :)

It's sure blustery tonight. I was outside late with DH watering the garden. We've had a huge wave of squash bugs this year and they killed a bunch of our plants :( Boo. I keep catching them and feeding them to the chickens. Has anyone got any good control methods for squash bugs? I put down some sevin dust today, but they don't seem to mind it.

We use rhubarb to kill them. Boil the leaves, and drain off the liquid. Once cooled it makes one of the best pesticides I have used. Plus, you know exactly what it is. We make a gallon or two at a time.

Hello all of my Utah friends. Just wanted to invite any of you who would like to come to our community celebration this Friday and Saturday. Friday night begins with a steak dinner (we are cattle ranchers out here so the beef is phenomenal!) followed by a live band and dance under the pavilion (it's all family friendly and the band even plays kid songs like the Hokey Pokey, The Limbo and The Chicken Dance). Saturday starts early with a HUGE pancake breakfast at 8am and a flag raising ceremony at 9am. A program at the church house followed by lunch and games (relay races, tug o war and water games). In the afternoon there is a kids rodeo with mutton busting followed by the adult rodeo at 5pm. We are located about an hour to the west of Tremonton in Park Valley. We advertise in the Tremonton paper and put flyers in several local post offices around UT and ID. There is usually quite a big crowd of people that come and it is so much fun!! It all takes place in the park (it is a tiny town so the park is really easy to find). Message me if you want more information.

I was at my grandma's and she said the leaves look so good that she wanted to eat them. I told her I thought that they were poisonous. One thing lead to another and them she pulled out a pot and we made the first batch. She since made tons of it and doesn't have bugs in her garden or fruit trees like she did before.
