Utah!

Lisa, yes, we just moved Lisa's things to her new place. Lisa herself won't go to her new home for a while. She has been moved to a rehab/therapy place in Payson for a while until she is well enough to go into the home. Her lungs aren't all the way back to normal. The bottom part of them. She has a UTI now also. She gets winded..of course with those lungs, she also has a hard time walking without being dizzy. Her short term memory is...well..short. :/ They say it can take a while. I would imagine.

Sundance, I have the cutest little frizzle babies out there. I haven't had a chance to really stop and take notice with all that has been going on. I am loving the white one, the blue, and one of the little bantam blacks..it has a pop top. :)

When it rains, it pours. My DH, has been getting hard of hearing for a while, but it's been slowly..but surely. Yesterday, it was bad. Today, I talk to him when he gets up and he says, I can't hear you! Just Barely, barely. We were moving Lisa's things today, but got him to a dr. first. He says maybe it's just fluid behind the ears, to take a decongestant for a few days, if that doesn't work, then he needs to see an ENT. I will go ahead and call the ENT tomorrow. Then, if he is better in a few days, I'll cancel. It takes a while to get into specialist. Bless his heart, he has been a trooper. It was what? All day long until later in the day, then he would catch himself and just not say anything. I feel so bad for him. :/

I will have a Heritage RIR for sale soon.

Cynthia I'm glad to read that your sister is doing much better :D

So does anyone have any Cochin or Maran hatching eggs for sale? My dang Legbar/FBCMxEE is broody. She has been all week long. At first I thought it was just a fluke, but now she is stealing my almost 18 day Silkie eggs from the Silkie. So tomorrow the Silkie is getting moved in all by herself. And if you go near her, she is mad, she is so mean when you go to move her, and she is usually very, very sweet. Dang It, I was hoping to be done with Broody's for the year.

Welcome, Cathie! So glad you could join us :) Sorry you had to rehome your rooster. That's hard.

Cynthia, sorry things have been so hard for you and yours lately. They will get better. Hugs.

Birdman, are you doing okay with all the smoke we've had? Haven't seen you for a while.

Gary, Thank you so much for the offer. I think I am done with chicks unless they are sex linked! I can't handle rehoming another boy. I have used up all my resources and then some :). You will have to post pictures when they hatch. I would love to see them :) !!

Amanda, Yes. I believe the CO is a girl. Her comb has stayed really small and yellow. The waddles are redish but they are really tiny still too. This will make three broody breeds and one consistent egg layer! I'm not sure what to do :)

HI I am new to BYC and have mostly lurked for several weeks.
We have a young backyard flock 5 hens now as the rooster had to be "re-homed" as our city doesn't allow roosters. I miss him and hope he finds a new place as this is a temp place I took him to.
I have 2 Red/Gold SL, 1 Black SL, 1 RIR and 1 BO. The rooster was supposed to be a Barred Rock but ended up looking like an Australorp (SP?).
I only have one of the Red SL laying right now but these girls are just around 4 months old and she surprised us with eggs almost 2 weeks ago.

My hope is that next spring I can get a Scots Dumpy...there's only one place to get them that I have found and they are out for the season. I have never bought mail order and hope that it will work out.

Oh, I am in American Fork

what is a scots dumpy?

Selling hens, pullets, holler if anyone on here wants any adult birds. All kinds of breeds, egg colors, etc.
$5 for 2 yr olds, $10 for one yr olds, $15 for a couple that just started laying (GSL's)
I just am too tired LOL, and have so many babies growing out, some of the big girls gotta go.

Yep those Dumpies are just the cutest! LOL
I just found out that I would have to order 25 chicks (one day olds) in order to get them in 2015. They can't all be Dumpies but the place does offer many heritage type breeds and organic/natural types. If anyone would be interested in sharing a shipment next spring I would be very happy to do the order.

But alas it is a long time until next spring! LOL
Lisa I am tempted to replace my rooster with one of your one year old hens...do you have any Barred Rocks? I am limited to only 6 hens here so if I am going to add the Dumpy next year it probably wouldn't be such a good idea LOL
