I have a rooster with an eye infection. Does anyone know what I can do ?

Mat--if it is just an eye infection, dab Neosporin in the corner of the eye with a qtip. (not the kind with pain reliever, just the kind that has bacitracin zinc only, or polysporin). Glop it on there once a day for a few days and if it is just an eye infection it should go right away. My vet said chickens get conjunctivitis just like people (like pink eye). With all the dust and stuff they put their face in, it's easy to get. If they are sneezing or breathing with a rattley sound that is the URI you have to watch out for. I have some Denegard if you need to try that.

That is a good sign! The ointment should work pretty fast. Just keep using it a couple days after it clears up or it can come back.
