This little cutie is going to be a beauty. Pure white. Came from an egg marked Paint though..so not sure if spots...or a spot will show up later. lol

Oh my gosh! Too cute! Every time I see pic like this I think that I need a white fluffy one for my daughter I posted a pic of earlier and a brown Chewbaca looking one for her twin brother.

Thanks iPick..I have two blues..could be splash, can't quite tell yet..hoping for a splash, and a black baby as well with this silkie hatch. They are cute, and pretty..and fluffy. I have more of her eggs on the way, couldn't help myself, I always get a good hatch. Lost the SG this time though. It was a porcelain color..so pretty. So, I asked her for more from that pen. He porcelains are prettier than any that I've seen.

Sorry about the SG. It's so much fun watching chicks transform! How are silkie personalities? I've been scared off by them because they look like they'd take a lot of effort to keep clean. They just look so sweet and cuddly!

Thank you guys...I have a good person to buy my silkie/SG from.
And this guy was on fb. He had some Marans eggs for sale. I say, man, wish you didn't live so far away! He says, I work in Spanish Fork, I can bring you some. Alrighty then!

Me sitting with the bunch last yr. Miss Piggy, one of the many that I've had and named the same, always got right up there. Love the leghorn!

Our son that just got home not too long ago from his mission, loves Mable..brown leghorn, my first. Love them.

And of course, our dogs..we have three. Won't post a lot of them, this is our second Golden..we have a Female now.

We had no idea how much we'd enjoy having chickens. After being in Germany for a decade, American grocery store eggs gross me out and I thought I was just getting into it to have decent eggs again. I did not know we'd fall in love with them, that they'd have so much personality and become pets. Our BR is like a therapy animal for my husband with his transition from the military to civilian life. He comes home from school every day, talks to it, let's it ride around on his shoulder. He loves that bird!
