Man Lisa, that's just awful. :/ I would have him gone real quick. Poor little maran boy.
@Cynthia12 Yes, that's a silkie. I got her as a chick at IFA last year and she's gone broody 3 times since October. I finally gave up and got her some eggs.
I got my eggs from a gentleman in Pleasant Grove, Eddie. He advertises on KSL.
I lucked out because I was looking for hatching eggs for Fluffy (she'd been broody for over a week) and things kept falling through. I saw his ad and called to see if he had anything available that day. He did since I didn't need many eggs. I ended up with 3 Easter eggers and the houdan. All four eggs were fertile, but the fourth egg didn't hatch.
I'm sure that was way more than you wanted to know![]()
Welcome home Sundance, I've been following your exploits and such. All sounds like good fun to me. It is nice of you to bring back birds with new blood for the kind Utah BYC folks round here, and perhaps others as well. I like how folks here love their birds and seem to take good care of same.
Best to you and your birds,
RJ
Hey Cache Valley folks, any of you tried out the new TSC in Providence? I did not even know we had one in the valley until last week. I am always glad to see new things and differing ways of displaying the supplies required by us chicken keepers.
So we have IFA, at Hyde Park & Logan; Cal Ranch in Logan; TSC in Providence, and Steve Regan in Logan. Did I miss one or more?
For me, I mostly use IFA.
Where do you other Cache Valley members get the lions share of your supplies?
Best to all and your birds,
RJ
