Utah!

So tonight is end of day 21 and it is my first real hatch (besides 6 button quail) I didn't even count how many eggs I put into lockdown because I had so many things going on and forgot, but I'd say probably 50 chicken eggs and 65 red and rare color coturnix but with that being said. "Holy freaking fuzzy Butts batman" (and why my auto correct capitalizes Butts I'll never knew). So I thought for sure my hatch rate would be just okay considering I had eggs from so many different people/storing methods and some air sacs were A total Goldie locks & the 3 bears moment, some were to big, to small, and some were just right....

and that is where my phone died around 3am last night I kept remember more and more things I needed to do so I didn't get to sleep until about 8am, I left the chicks in because the quails hatch date was technically today. When I woke up I decided to try and move the chicks because they were eating the quail eggs trying to hatch, but when I moved them my husband misunderstood me and didn't put the hatch tray back in and I found it probably 30 min later so I put it back and checked about 5 hours later and nothing else hatched so I tried to find any alive and only found a few and was able to save 5 and ib killed probably 20 that were for formed and some hard already pipped but they got to cold and the ones I did save have curled toes:( but I'll make them some boots. When I moved them to the brooder I counted 49 chicks and only 42 quail but here is biggest issues I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WHAT, so I'll have to take some pictures tomorrow and have you guys help me.

Hey folks. Does anyone have any fertile eggs or does anybody need anything incubated? Here after this weekend it's going to be very lonely in there just a few I've purchased off eBay that seem to not be very promising and Crazy Sandy's overflow. So what I did for this other lady is I kept all her eggs in there and did not touch them when it came time for lockdown I asked if she wanted to candle them and set them or if she wanted me to do it. It's at that point the bad eggs were taken out. Then I separated her 5 eggs from the rest so there wouldn't be any confusion.
Also I'm not charging to do it, if you want to donate to my chicken fund via fertile eggs/chicks/and of course the greenbacks cool. but I'm not doing it to make money right now I'm having fun and learning, plus who doesn't love chicks

Yay!!!!! Liz said she will pick it up at 7:45. I texted sundance to see if she could babysit it but if you can get there tomorrow it should be good! Glad it works out. He is from such pretty eggs, he would be a good breeder.
You folks are amazing! I can pick him up during lunch or after work, whatever works best for you. I will PM you my cell for text if that works.

So I candled all 33 eggs I have and only 5 were unfertilized. All the eggs from gladys (booted NN) are not fertile and only 1 sex link eggs. So that means my Salmon Faverolle is doing his job great!! Lol. All of the leghorn eggs are fertile and all 3 of my easter eggers are too

my cuckoo marans/BR cross are also fertile. I was really surprised to see all the RIR eggs fertilized. So that means i will have 28 chicks hatch:) every one is moving around and the temperature and humidity has been perfect. I don't see why all 28 wouldnt hatch

I can't wait to see all these fluffy chicks

Good luck! I put in 38 paint silke eggs in this batch and only 8 were infertile, and so far 5 have quit. So im down to 25. Not bad for this batch, and they are due this weekend! Hoping for alot of spotted babies this time! :) Good luck on yours!
