I had baby chicks hatch on my birthday. 4 out of 5 that went into lock down.

Sundance, I'm so glad your story was happy about Einstein. I thought for sure you were going to say she's croaked, and I was getting ready to cry. Glad I was wrong

RJ, you are such a sweetheart. Thank you so much for the offer! I think we will be okay, but I am truly touched. I'm really looking forward to getting new chicks in the Spring and bonding with them. We are going to set up a light and a better (read: larger) coop and see if we can't coax the Wyandotte girls to share a few eggs with us. Again, thank you very much for the sweet offer *hugs* (my phone won't let me load the forum emoticons)

So, apparently we have a snowmelt pond on the side of our garage where our dirt driveway is. And DH reports that the Ducks were having a grand ole time in it today. Huh, that explains why my white duck is so brown lately.....

Not sure if you are looking for babies or hens. I have just hatched babies. Thinking they will frizzle out..will know in a few days. Two are very small, and look to be girls already. I'm in Spanish Fork...my photos of them are above. All of the ones that I hatched from this same gal turned out to be frizzle, but one..out of 6. I will post a photo of the black one I kept. Really pretty.

I'm in love with my BO as well. She loves to jump on my DH shoulders and fluff her butt on the back of his head. Like it's a big egg!
