Cynthia-Yes she has been on ksl. She is ornery! We have tried the isolation in the garage, she has been very sweet out there, still laying eggs in the morning, stopped squawking completely. But the others have been so happy without "the boss"-- we are still going to give her away. We have a guy that called that will come to get her Friday, I think it will work out great If she starts out in a new place I think it will tame her down just fine
Had he not called I would have gladly driven her down to you! We feel like we cannot leave them for the day without keeping an eye out because our little bantam has been tore up enough she is a little delicate right now and do not want her re-injured or killed. The other 7 have been so happy, dust bathing, eating better, no fighting at all so I think taking her out permanently will be a good thing
Four of the others would not even come in the coop at night with her in there, they opted to sleep outside in the run on a perch out there, I would bring them in manually but no matter how sleepy they would still end up back outside. The very first night without the boss they were all in the coop snuggled up to each other sleeping so happily, and every night since. Better vibe going on in the flock now! And less worry for us, I just cannot stand to see one bleeding and/or beat up.
It is too bad though-- it is hard to see one go, she was our favorite as a chick, the little chipmunk type EE, eyeliner and all, so cute! Maybe we will have to add a pair in the spring and see if we can try again. I will definitely miss the cool olive eggs
