They were delivered in the cold..in fact it was very cold here when they finally got here..they were delivered on a Sat., got here on Thursday. I only let them sit for 12 hrs. Even though your eggs are that far away, they usually only take 3 days to get here..mine took 5. Soooo, get excited!! Those golden Laced wyandottes are very pretty!

You should post a picture of her. You made her sound adorable while we were talking the other day. They are cute bantams. And broody little stinks.

First Egg. YESSSSSSSS! Our chicks were hatched the end of May and here 6 1/2 months (205 days) later, a medium beautiful blue egg. We decided not to artificially light the coop and let nature takes it course. We figured it wouldn't be until spring but lo and behold to our wonderful surprise, one of our two easter eggers couldn't hold out any longer. 1- easter egger, 1-redsexlink, 1- cinnamon queen, 1- brown leghorn, and 1- welsummer to get going on the egg laying. Such a breath of fresh air. Cant wait to get home....sooooo excited.

If you've been here, you know what I'm talking about.

That blue egg is awesome! Nice and big for her first especially. I would be so proud of that !! High Five

Wow, that is impressive! First egg? My Ameraucana's first egg was the size of my bantam's eggs. They are cochin bantams, so they are larger than most bantams, but it was pretty small for a LF. She is laying about that size of yours now. And, I like the size of that Wyondottes! Still crossing my fingers for mine to be a girl. Getting prettier every day, what ever "she" is.

i think some of my girls are done moulting because i got a different tint of brown so that would mean another black star is laying again

my young ee is still kicking out the eggs like crazy, she lays at the same level as a leghorn so far

bird man..congrats once again..and that is unusual for the EE's to lay every day like that. My EE that started about a month ago..the one in the pictures, is also doing a great job. She is laying 5 or 6 a week, that's pretty good. I have a white leghorn that lays every day, and a brown one that lays most every day, then will miss one day every couple of weeks. My Little Red is laying every day..she's a sex link, and my little mottled bantam is laying around 5 a week. Still waiting on my Partridge Rock! She is really looking like she's ready, and has squat for me a couple of times..I see her checking out the nest boxes, so, shouldn't be long..I hope. Really interested in the color of that egg.
