Your Baily is dang cute

I can see why ya love her so much. Yes mine is still broody. Crazy broody. Screaming at all who come near...sitting vehemently on every egg that gets laid, it is so funny. I do not have to worry about eggs freezing because she keeps them all nice and warm for me haha. I have 4 nests, of course they all like to lay in #1, and that is where she like to sit, where the action is, so they lay right there next to her, on top of her, wherever they can squeeze in. I keep moving her to another vacant one, but she goes right back. I quit dipping her and all that nonsense, once she gets going, I cannot disrupt her, I give in. Plus it is just cold and I do not have time to keep getting her wet and dry her before sending her back out. So she usually goes about 3-4 weeks broody, 2 weeks not, so she should be done soon lol. The others will be glad when she gets out of their way. I really want to put fertile eggs under her someday, I bet she would be the best mom

I do love her, and she provides a lot of entertainment value. But one of her is enough lol
That's cute. I also went out today to find all of the eggs..in the same nest box. I wonder if it's the cold now. They all want to get on a warm egg? It's like they stand in line on the roost until one is done, except for my brown leghorn and my blue Ameraucana, they will lay together.

Yes----you only have 4 Araucana coming, so 1 of those, if you end up with more than 1 extra (that do not scream roo by appearance!) then I would take 2. That is my first choice---then if I get only 1 araucana, I would want 2 of the other Ameraucana---probably not black because my other girls are so black, so one of the other colors would be great, could be this hatch or the next whichever ones you have available, if they all hatched black (you never know haha) then black would be fine. Then one Aussie. 4 total chicks :) 3 blue egg layers and an Aussie for production. Then with 3 blue egg layers total one has GOT to be a girl....hoping lol. Somehow I have to get me a blue egg haha!

No crowing yet..yes they are related..I hatched them. Yes, they can breed together, and yes, it is good to get a second generation going from siblings. Yes, this color is very much in demand..oh man, I'm sounding like a sells person here...and yes, they are able to throw blacks, because when I got them, the guy I got the eggs from said the eggs were splits..I just lucked out and got lots of lavenders. See my Avatar..those are the babies, and maybe the one I am holding is one of these. I didn't get one black..can you believe that Lisa?

Thank you to the answers to my many questions. Last one....ya positive you don't hv 2 hens? I've been looking and looking at the new pics (I've had lots of banties and love 'um) and I can't see enough of a difference that one screams roo... they both kinda look like pullets...to me.

Could be, but today I can really see the difference in the neck feathers and tail feathers, and yes, the comb in bigger, hard to see in these photos..we can wait and see another couple of weeks.
I would much rather sell my babies to friends here than on ksl!
