Bout the EE's----my pure white girl was buff colored and had a slight silver/gray top on her head as a chick. So maybe?

This is a chicken subject..sort of. My DH and I went to the laundry mat today to wash some king and queen size comforters and blankets. My washer is not big enough. Anyway, saw a Nickel ad paper there..you know the ones?
I went to the animal ads, thought I might see something in there about chickens. I couldn't believe it. When I used to get those papers, there were usually a page, to a page and a half of animal ads, especially dogs. There wasn't even half a page! It's been a while since I've picked one of those up. You can guess why. I get on the Internet. I check out ads on the Internet. I read the news on the Internet.
I'm thinking that newspapers are going to become obsolete. And what about our Post Offices? They are closing down a big one in our East Bay area. Fed Ex and UPS are getting a lot of their business. Man, the older I get, the more change I get to see. And I've seen a lot. I'm just thankful that I am as good as I am on the computer..lol..
I have been trying to get my pictures to upload on ksl. It won't do it from "my pictures." So, I go to Pisca..they resize, but I just can't get the right size!

i saw one of your ads with the pictures. it looked good to me. if the post office dies people will pay a ton to send a letter because shipping companys can not do it for the price the post office does.

Cynthia - I've been noticing for the last few years that newspapers are becoming more and more obsolete. It's cheaper and more information-efficient to do things on the internet, but the thing I don't like about that is that I have to have some form of electricity to read anything online. Plus, if there's a massive outage and information is lost, then a bunch of people are kind of left in the dark because their info resource is gone.

So yeah, I can understand the transition from paper to 'puter, but I'm not always sure I like it. Plus, there's that stupid thing called "trolling".....cough cough.......

Oh, and how're your babies coming along?

If someone gives Ozzie black nails, I need to see this.

Red, the babies are doing well, and, I now have 4 pips in my BLRW's. Still worried though about those. They pip, and don't get anywhere else..unlike my lavenders, and my Australorps. ??

LOL..will have to post a pic of the baby with nail polish. I don't have any black polish. I gave that up a few years back.

Ha ha you guys are funny with the chicken manicure bit Hope your BLRW eggs are ok Cynthia! Another long night for you. Will jump on here tomorrow to see what is going on with those, crossing fingers for you, hope you get some sleep at least :/ I hear you on the papers/post office...computers have really taken over everything. Kinda sad Makes me think of our first microwave, orange and brown lol....those giant brick cell phones, better yet the dial phones with the cords we used for jumpropes when we were kids. Simple games...hop scotch, cat's cradle. Our grandkids will never even know what those things are. Crazy! Lots of change, too much sometimes.

Lisa, kinda of on that same note - I have had some occasions where I use a term, sometimes computer-related and sometimes not, and someone a handful of years younger than me gives me the "Huh?" treatment. Are. You. Kidding me? I'm not THAT old! Technology changes fast.
