Oh no Brad! Wind? I see sunshine right now. Good luck..hope nothing falls over, or off! Hope the power stays on too, that's one of my biggest worries when the wind kicks up.

yeah its bad out there. the trees i am worried about are ones i plan to take out but they are close to the house so they can do a lot of damage. so the trees can fall as long as they do it in the right direction lol. and do not argue with me, i will win

i will do the right thing and i will not let you take a loss for these girls

Uh oh. I spoke too soon. It is getting brutal outside here too. I will be hiding under the table until this goes away. My garbage can in back just blew over the fence, then my grill blew over.

i may actually have to use the snow blower this year lol. wind+snow = extreme danger. i have decided to start a worm bin this year so i will get all the castings and tea from the worms for the garden and because the worms will breed i will be able to have treats for the girls. i am thinking of doing a nipple watering system for the girls and in the winter just dropping a deicer in it to keep it from freezing but is something i will need to think about

One week from today I will be waking up at 6:00 am running into my mom's room waking her up and running to the car faster than the neighbor's dog chasing me, and we'll be driving to the post office to pick up a box full of fuzzy butts! Soo excited! It's only Wednesday and it feels like it's still sunday -_-. I'm anxious to get my babies!

i love the nipple watering systems--use them from day one with the chicks and they seem to get it right off the bat. Nice and clean and easy to refill.

Wow Lisa, your garbage can went over the fence? That's some angry wind! I was out in Tooele when the storm front came through, and it was getting crazy out there, too. The wind wasn't quite as fierce as what was up in Logan, but it snowed pretty good for a while. It started dropping right as I was finishing with some chores outside, at which point I decided it was a good time to retreat indoors. I think my chickens agreed, because they were in the coop pretty fast

It started to dump right after that.

Did anyone else get buried?

Oh yes, and I have officially earned my first badge of honor with my chickens. One of my chicks finally pooped on me. And it wasn't a nice, clean little pile, either. It was, ehm, the result of medicated feed. I know, I know, you're jealous - you don't have to say so
