Utah!

Starting to get excited-- my first set of eggs from my birds are due to hatch tomorrow! I had some silver laced wyandotter in with the BLRWs, so only some will be BLRWs, but it is just a test hatch, so I don't mind. There are a dozen eggs that developed well, so I am hopeful. Very exciting!

I'm in the same boat as Donna. My broody girl is sitting on several eggs that are due to hatch on Monday. Not sure who's more excited, me or the kids.

Wow! Be sure and let us know how things go, both of you. That's exciting

You're gonna make me have to walk in to IFA or Cal Ranch just to see some chicks.

Hello All! I am fairly new to this site, and this is the first time I have posted. I don't own any chickens yet, but I hope that my city will soon pass a good chicken ordinance so we can add some feathered friends to our family. As some of you may know, the Bountiful City Council is considering a backyard chicken ordinance. Unfortunately, the current proposed draft is quite restrictive. I am gathering pictures of backyard chicken coops in Northern Utah to submit to the council in hopes that it will give them a better understanding of what a backyard with a chicken coop looks like. Please let me know if any of you are willing to send me pictures. Thanks!

My coop isn't much to shout about, but I'll see if I can get a couple of pictures for you over the weekend.

Whoa, everyone has such lovely, big coops. Maybe I won't post any pictures of mine yet - at least not until I get a hold of a bucket of paint, haha
