Utah!

Red, you have some beautiful babies there..where do find such beautiful birds? I can't imagine where, or how you find them! lol..they really are getting big! I am loving the blue girl. And, I actually like that buff color..I hope that little EE lays a colored egg for you. I think you will get some green eggs from those blacks! If not green green, then blue/green..Oooo, I know, a mint green. It will be fun to see what everyones pullets end up giving them.

I now have 3 Wellies out, and the two Exchequers. Man those Exchequers are tiny. Those Welsummers are big. Healthy looking/acitng babies. Wish the V and the eyeliner was a good thing to go by on sexing. Have heard too many different opinions on it. So, will go by the wings as usual..and the comb. These babies have combs already. hmmm...? I want a girl..I need a speckled egg! They lay well too. :)

Oh, I have connections

And a bunch of good friends who support my addiction in their own special way.

Yay for babies! Those Exchequers are soooo pretty. I hope that the one older chick you think is a girl, stays a girl!
Red, I'll give you roosters too. I know I have at least one lavender ameraucana roo, and I'm sure I have a bunch of BLRW roosters, but I haven't figured out gender on those guys yet.

Aww Sphinx, I knew you wouldn't leave me out in the cold, hehe. I would gladly take another rooster.........if I didn't already have several boys. Woops, how did that happen??
Excited about the Delaware chicks!!! And the Marans roo I'm picking up from Birdguy on Sat!!!!

You will love them! The Delaware I had was so sweet and sociable. She would follow me around and even hop up into my lap, if I'd let her. Please put up pictures, if you get the chance, so that this Delaware junkie can get her fix

OK, since everyone is getting their Delaware chicks already, I won't order the eggs.

What else could I torture everyone with? Ha!
My daughter's Ancona duck eggs arrived today! She bought 8, 12 came, 1 was badly cracked. Like spider web cracked. :( Bummer. All the rest look dang good with just a couple wonky air cells that really aren't the worst in the world....had that with my doomed Wyandotte bantam eggs.

So we're excited about these duck eggs! Speaking of my daughter, she just graduated HS tonight! (Like that subject transition? haha) I have to brag for just a minute about my beautiful girl. My parents and a brother came out from Wisconsin and I snapped a few pictures of Sierra with her grandma (my mom) before we headed to USU for the graduation ceremony.

My daughter, the ham. :)

My eggs are due this weekend, maybe today. I hope a few hatch at least.
Sasha...Congrats to you and your daughter. My Daughter graduated last night too!

Ha..I guessed right.  I knew you liked my girl. You will love yours too.  They are one of the sweetest birds I've ever had.  Hey, I wonder if she can fake out the lavender, and they can be buds, although, the lavender is a lot older.  :p   My speckled sussex acted afraid of me for a while after the lavender left.  She's getting back to herself now.  Follows me around the coop run.

I love our speckled Sussex! She is our friendliest bird out there, she is the one that my 4 year old can catch every time without effort then she puts up with it when he takes her over to the porch swing and sits with her. :). My reading says they lay smaller eggs but they seem to make up for it in friendlliness.

Wow! I am surprised how much these Wheaten Chicks have feathered out in the last two days. Tons of wing feathers this morning. Now I think I can see my girls.....I do believe there are two girls in the four that I have here. Whew. I was worried I would have all boys where I only had 4 left. So Far they are all getting the dark lines across the tips of the feathers----no splash that I can see. Should be Wheaten color, possibly Blue Wheaten. Daloorshens if they are splash you will see single feathers start on the wings, more random, if they are more of a line going across the tips then probably the Wh or Blu Wh.
The little polish---looking like one is a girl for sure, I think Masked Villian looks really boyish, of course that one is my favorite. Hope you gals that bought some get a girl in your chicks :)

Congratulations to these two cute graduating girls today! Blujems, I did not even realize you had this girl, I never see her around at your place :) Sasha, loved the pics you posted of the chickstoo, they are adorable!

Cynthia, so glad you got some Welsummers to hatch. My Marans eggs went in lockdown this morning.....I had six from qcu. Three are in now. The three remaining all look good so crossing fingers! Of course the two that were from the darkest laying hen quit.....bummer! AND the air cells still look a little small when compared with the chart, I roasted these with no water on the highest heat I dared go....I went 100.0-100.5 in the forced air bator, and going an extra half day before adding the humidity, still the air cells are a bit small. Hoping it works with these last three. I have yet to hatch a Marans chick that lives, out of 12 eggs total now.....still have not gotten my shipped BJG, BR, and EE eggs. Hopefully Monday, I am not wanting to set eggs on weekends now that it is summertime.

congrats on all the graduations! i had to take a plant into my old high school today to a good friend because she has bees and this is super rare and gets hundreds of blooms and is a perennial :D , man i feel old! time moves way too fast!

I'm assuming the white gown means your daughter went to skyview? awesome! My blue robe was okay, but I was a little envious of the white yesterday!
