Utah!

I haven't put her up on ksl yet..you asked me not to.

I am able to hold onto her until you decide. I'm not pushing, but really, no big deal until you decide. I would rather her go somewhere that I know~knows chickens. She's pure, and a lot of people around here don't know what that means. I always just hope they go to a good home.
Oh goody!

I thought someone else here had all but claimed her. I'm decided I would love to add her to my flock of Ams! Of the four Am chicks I hatched I think at least two are roos, which would give me a choice of their traits, but only leave me with two hens, plus the older hen. The undecided part is how to home her with the sub-flocks of chicks until they get close to the same size and can run around together, and still be secured from predators. I have one fort knox coop and run, and another stall we used temp for meat birds last year with a fenced run that has the chicks separated in it. About what age to momma chickens 'wean' the babies and go back to the hen house?

Hey guys long time no post. Been super busy so far this summer.

I have a Bantam Blue Chochin Roo that I need to get rid of. He's 14 weeks old and hasn't started to crow yet but it won't be long before he does and I can't have Roo's. He's super funny to watch around the hens that are almost double his size as he's starting to mature and get full rooster mode activated.

He's free to anyone that wants him! We are located in Orem.

Colsgirls so sorry to here about your Polish. I can't help you with the problem you have now with needing a pullet but in 2 weeks I will have bantam Polish chicks. I also live in Southern Utah.

Kidasoto those little chickies are cuties!

Red nice catch!

Bird man not a fun fishing trip you had. I had to laugh at you being in flip flops. I wear flip flop everwhere so I would probably go fishing in them as well. Ha

Sphinx I'm excited to see your progression on your coop! I'm kind of missing building and doing something for the chickens this year. I now that's a bit weird.

its a long story but i used to fish at fish lake a lot and one day the fishing was on fire and a bad storm hit and i did not want to get off the lake and we end up being washed onto shore and had no water or food and had not had anything to drink or eat all day and i was in flip flops and had to walk 7 miles barefoot on horrible terrain and was attacked by animals and ended up with search and rescue called. that is the basic story of it oh and less than a week later my grandma died. yeah not a fun week.

Wow, I know fish lake well,, you must have been washed up on the other side from the dock area? Of course. I have been on that Lake when a storm just up and decides to show up..wow, it can happen fast up there. Not a big lake, but when that wind whips up, it's something, and the rain comes down in sheets! Big drops. Twice I remember having to get off the lake because a storm came along. So glad you got rescued. Animals? That's the part that would have scared the goodie outta me.

Yay! that sounds so fun! I am new to the chicken world... what color would bantam polish be? I have a neighbor that just lost a polish she had for a few years and is looking for some also... how much would they be?

Bird Man, my other polish is named Polly, not nearly as cool... Ha! I had her named before I even got her, Tina fell over alot shen she was a chick, making her look drunk, honestly I don't know a lot about the real Tina, but it made me laugh and the name just fit!

They are SQ Bantam Polish-WC black, blue, chocolate, and cuckoo. They will be smooth or fizzle. I will keep you updated on the hatching. I love my little Polish also and I needed to have more.

So Sphinx have your chickens stopped laying in your nesting boxes with carpet? Mine have ever since I put carpet in there. I don't know if it will change but every day now it is an Easter egg hunt for me.

. I'll give them a few more days before I take it out. I'm hoping they will get used to it. I put pine shavings over it to try and cover it up but that didn't work either. Just wondering if yours have done the same.
