Hello everyone! My DH and I are looking at possibly moving to Utah in about a year. We are currently looking at Sandy and Provo. I am having a hard time looking up chicken ordinances for those cities. We don't want to move somewhere where we can't bring the girls so...

Can anyone direct me to the proper website, or tell me, what the laws are regarding chickens, ducks, etc in those cities?

Oh man, My Australorp is FIRED. Look at this egg she laid. it is smaller than my bantam eggs were. Sure hope this is a fart egg for her LOL!
Hers compared to a store egg:

All that commotion for that little bitty egg.

Lisa, I have two pullets laying that size..they will get bigger. In fact, my SS is even a little smaller than that. Her very first egg was larger than they are now. Give them a month, or a month and a half. Takes some time. Australorps lay nice sized eggs. :)

There are a lot of chicken folks up north already. I need more buddies down this way.

I spent the day at the vet. My girl had a csect and spay. 3 kittens all doing fine. I also had eggs hatching 6 so far 6 more pipped. Pretty excited. The big dark dark brown hasn't pipped yet waiting waiting. I have had some frizzle Americanas hatch, a Auracana hatch and olive eggers hatch, Hubby got excited and put out the out of the incubator into the brooder incubator as I have so many eggs I am moving them after they hatch and dry. I have color ziplocks I;m putting different colors for the breed. Hope it works. My new incubator seems to be doing a better job that the styrofoam.

In Utah you have to deal with city ordinances and HOA ordinances. Those cities allow hens but the number depends on your yard. Riverton and Herriman are more poultry friendly but depends on HOA rules. HOAs are a pain

Hey they look great. Poor hen has to start somewhere. Give her a kiss and tell her to keep trying
