Utah!

Wow, new eggs everywhere! Congrats everyone..and why are those lavenders laying green eggs??? Huh? Why? That is just weird. Light in color, pure Ameraucanas, what's up with that?
And who said they wished they had the Exchequer? I have decided not to keep my big girl. She should start laying anytime now. I have so many chickens to watch, and as sweet and mellow as she is, I would rather have my GREEN egg. LOL...Now watch, my blue EE out there will lay a beautiful blue egg. Lisa and I are getting opposite. Lisa you asked if my black girl was laying blue still. I think it's quite blue. My son says it's blue/green. I have had so many blue/greens, that I try and tell him, this is blue. So, it's funny you are putting yours up against different things to compare in color..I have done the same thing. He keeps saying blue/green, I keep saying blue. Ok. Maybe there is some green, sure is a dark color though. I love it.
Going to post some pictures of what we did today. Proud of myself. I got off of the paved paths!!

Ok....so somebody just laid this one, on the top right. I have no idea who, I can't keep track....it is a little closer, do ya think they read minds? Here it is compared to one of the other greenish ones.....

If it turns more green over the next few days I give up, chickens win.
That's a blue egg up there! Very pretty. It should stay blue, just lighter in time.

This is in Mapleton canyon..they call the campground below, Whitings campground.

I have to put this picture up first. This is the Golden I lost a while back. Loved this guy.
Just showing the difference between him and my Golden today. This guy is from
Canada lines. Short, stocky, and big square head. What a love! We used to go up here
a lot with him, he loved it.

Not it's Toby's turn. He has longer legs, smaller build, he's also a sweet heart. Look at
that smile. I love getting pictures at this spot.

Goldens love to use their paws, always have to have them on you when you are sitting.

See, even if it's only one paw. Makes me smile.

Our little Brody didn't know what to think, this was his first time up the mountains

Mom, what about me..wants my attention because I'm holding Brody. There's that paw.

Scott was being attacked by puppy dogs!

What a love..all of them, including that sweet man. :))

I like this picture. Nice little path, that's why I didn't worry about wearing tennis shoes, in
case someone noticed. It's a nice easy hike to the water we like to go to.

Aww, Brody is getting happier with all of this. Toby is showing him the rounds.

I have missed this green! Scott and Toby.

Good cool water, a nice spot to just sit and watch all of the butterflies get their drinks,
and the dogs.

Oh yeah!

Brody was thinking about jumping into the water,.........

Nope, changed his mind! Went the easy way down.

Big dog, little dog. (me and my shadow)

Looking up from the parking lot. I looove this canyon!

Toby, smiling on the way home.
There, I haven't had a chance to do this for a while. So, had to share!
I know what my body is going to say in the morning...hey, remember what you did yesterday?
Oh well! It was great.

Cute! I didn't get to see the pictures on facebook, they are so cute, the dogs look so happy.

So does anyone want a beautiful BLRW (most likely) cockerel? I'm not willing to take a chance with a rooster around my little kids. They love being out with the chickens and I can't watch them every second. Free to a good home. :)

Cynthia, loved the pictures. It makes me miss my childhood golden retriever. She was such a sweet dog. I think if I ever got a dog, that's what I'd get. It looks like you had a really nice day. Hope your body doesn't hate you too much for it later.

Kimmy, I've already gotten rid of 7-8 BLRW cockerels this year, the last thing I need is another one!

Cynthia, fun day you had, in the great outdoors! LOVED the pics so we could share that with you.
Sphinx, that is way too funny the lavenders laid on the same day. AND green. I have to admit if yours laid really pretty blue I would entertain the thought of hijacking yours in the night and replacing it with mine. Only entertain the thought, I promise! haha, lucky us with pure ameraucanas laying green. Poopheads I say. And mine was about the size of yours. Teensy :) I got a total of 5 green eggs and one bluish green today, three of them were from layers on their very first egg today, and two I have no idea who did it. Now the detective work tomorrow to sort this affair out. Whoever laid the bluish one is on the happy list.

If no one here is interested I'll list him on KSL, free do you think?

i would start off putting him up for a few dollars, so you do not get the weirdos wanting them free for fighting and whatnot. You get a bit nicer folks calling if they are not free....then change it to free or post it again if you really really have to. Just my opinion :)

I love these pictures , I was at my friends vet clinic today. saw two rattlesnake bites. She said she has never seen so many rattlesnake bites as she has seen this year. If anyone goes hiking I would urge then to have their dogs vaccinated for rattlesnakes. I was not aware there is a vaccine but there is. What it does is when they are struck it helps keep the venum at bay until you can get treatment at a vet clinic. Just wanted to share that. I brought home a dog today that had a broken leg, He is staying with me as he has to have cage/bed rest and so do I. So maybe he wuill keep me down we'll see
