Utah!

Love the piglets. They are so cute!

That BRLW rooster is really gorgeous. Is he hatched from Rebecca? Sorry, I don't need any more roosters. In fact, I need to get rid of at least one.

Sundance, thanks for the response. I think I'll give her the shot in the morning. She's in rough shape. Not as bad as Thing 2, but not in a good place.

Farming people: I'm looking at alfalfa for the winter for my cows. People are advertising second crop and 3rd crop. What is the advantages to each?

yes he is from Rebecca. I am going to get a couple more in the spring and hope for a hen. i know the feeling about too many roosters. i have four and i have picked the smallest of them all to keep. i just have a hard time parting with them. you all know how it is raising them from chicks. here is the one i am keeping. this is my daughter holding him. we call him Mr Giggles cause ever time he crows he almost falls over. you ever see a rooster crow so hard he stumbles, yep its pretty funny.

Here is my white EE mix..with black spots and specks

It was the three stooges out there, until I let this gal out, and she just put herself right
in there with them.

A bit of a puffy face, hope she gets more later on

Look at these two beauties..one belongs to Delooras, I just have to decide which one I
want to keep, they are both so pretty, and nice girls.

There's a different splash of black. Nice looking little bird so far. She is a sweet bird too,
to all of the other chicks

Oh I would love to see that..very handsome boy.

I am LOVING everyone's pics!!! Man, we're a good looking bunch! :)

Lisa-I haven't "looked" at my black WC Polish since we last compared....I was getting scared, and it looks like for good reason. :(

The cuckoo looks very girly in the face right now....but, her developement is soooo far behind the black WC's, I'm not sure what to think! Her feathers are developing SO much slower, could the wattles be slow too? I'm so confused!
hu.gif

Her hat is nothing but tiny spikes at the back center of her head, and you could just about put the bottom of her hat (at the base of her skull) into a pony tail....it's SUPER long there. Bizarre. You can see her neck and chest are still featherless, her back and wings are, too.

Wow, loving all the pictures! I didn't know that you had a bantam polish Lisa. How cute is she, and, you use the same thing I do for putting some of my babies in for a break out on the lawn once in a while, works great ey?
Red, my girl also has black spots and specks. He had said that most would. Now for the waiting game for the color of those eggs! I just let her out with the big girls, along with a Wellie. I think Dalooras got the puffy cheeks, mine aren't that puffy..she sure is a character though. Not worried about the others at all, but the Wellie, runs from them. When they run, they get chased a bit.
Here are pictures of my Polish..now, someone tell my what colors they will be. I think you are right Lisa about the dark one..either a cukoo, or, a barred..I'm leaning more on the barred. It has a cute brown pattern around it's face.

Chipmunk pattern on the dark one..black and white/silver?

Well, I guess that's a brown and beige pattern around the face.

Here's the strange pattern on the yellow, and all those other colors..lol It doesn't have
as high a vault as the dark one

Buddies..I mean girlfriends :)

You can see the stripes..and a spot on the head of the dark one

white on top of it's back end hmmm?

Spot on top of it's head makes me think barred

Cute baby They are sweet

This one will be interesting for sure to watch how it colors out!
I will have to get pictures of my white EE mix now that you guys have shared yours.

Sphinx, how is that lav. doing?
Brad..sorry about your neighbors. I'm so thankful, so far so good. Why would they complain anyway? You don't have that many! Kim..did you decide on a time...I pm'd you, thinking tomorrow? Had the wrong name in there! Fixed it. :)
Cynthia, I've never seen Polish babies those colors! I'd say the blackish one is barred rock color, but it has mysterious brown coloring on its head. The yellow one, could it be a splash of some kind? Have you looked at Tolbunt polish chicks? Might be worth looking in to....now I'm going to go look because I'm curious!

................No, doesn't look Tolbunt colored to me. Not dark enough...but you never know! I'm excited to see how they feather out. :)

Oh, baby pigs are sooo cute. I can just imagine the little noises.
I love your pictures, Where was the show? Glad you did so well. Do you make goat Cheese?

That is what intrigues me most about those goats of hers, I would love to learn how to make cheese! Amazing!
The show was At the Cache county fair grounds. the fair is this week, but they didn't have room this year. So we did it the week before.

Yes, I tried Cheddar last year but didn't have good luck. Don't quite have the best place to age yet.
Mozz is pretty simple and quick. and I grate it and freeze when I get a chance..
