Utah!

Oh my goodness! That was torture....seeing in my email that sundance posted pics, then I click....and MAINTENANCE on the site?! I was going crazy.

That was worth the wait and frustration though, what an amazing group of babies you have Sundance! Love all those colors, feathers, vaulted heads and furry feet. You are swimming in cuteness over there at your place!

And the little ghost town looked like a really fun side trip! Thanks for sharing those pics!

Sphinx? Hope you can make it through those pictures :)

here are some pictures of the chicks they are just darling and such unique colors

They are just starting to feather can't tell yet who will be sizzled frizzled or smooth feathers or silkie feathers

These are partridge sizzles which are quite rare Notice the vault on the white chick

More chicks

These are some of the frizzle chicks I brought home from Arizona, The black I am told will be barred, The smaller white ones will be wheaton

These babies are just darling. They are the frizzled Americanas. The eggs they hatched from were very big and blue, I am assuming they will lay blue eggs.

The pictures don't do these guys justice. Look at the big vault on the two on the ends

These are chipmunk sizzles. Very rare look at the vaults

Sundance! Do you know how many hatches I've done, just trying to get a partridge?? They are sooo cute! Are they for sale?

Mimi - I'm so glad your rooster turned up!

Sundance - Oh my! Those are beautiful!

Today is my day! I'm so excited. My son keeps saying chicken ("caca", not sure if he's saying "chicken" or "bock bock", but he points to pictures of chickens and says that so I know it means chicken for him

) and signing "please". He's very excited, too!

Aravis, that's so cute! You will love meeting Cynthia, too. She's a sweet person, and so fun to chat with.

Mimi, depending where you are, I'm guessing: 1) Raccoon 2) Fox 3) Skunk. Definitely see what you can do to get them into the coop at night. It might be a pain in the butt, but it is well worth the peace of mind. I've lost too many chickens to predators in the last year, and some of those times were only a moment before someone could get out there to see what the problem was. I'm glad you found your other boy! Good luck.

Diana - Hol-lee COW! I can see why they're SQ, even at this age! Those are gorgeous, even for chicks. I know Cynthia would be tickled pink if you let her take a partridge Silkie off your hands.

Sphinx - I am slightly less inclined to rooster you now. That's hard.

So how many of you have done this? I staked out this morning with my breakfast and binoculars, in my pj's, waiting for my BO to lay her egg so that I could go get it. I did finally get her egg, and now I'm a little aggravated. I'm wondering if the one she laid the other day that I lost was a small double-yolker. It was abnormally long for her. It would have been my first DY. Trying hard not to think too much about it.

Aw Red, that would be awful if you missed out on that DY! You will get another one I am sure, seems that the first two months of new eggs always brings several of those beauties! I wish they kept doing it, it is always so exciting!

I also sit in my pjs---every saturday morning, sometimes sundays....and watch my girls and wait for those first few morning eggs. I love sitting out there with my mug in my lawnchair and watching them all come out of the coop and socialize...usually they get a nice breakfast on those days.....will miss it when it gets too cold! It is definitely something I look forward to all week. I used to sleep in a bit on the weekends but now I set my alarm to go out and sit with my girls, so peaceful out there.

Aravis is picking up my chickie from Cynthia for me today! She is in West Jordan....if anybody comes anywhere north from that area and can give my chickie a ride closer let me know. If nobody is headed this way, then Aravis I will plan on meeting you next time you come to Ogden, just let me know when you know when! Thank you so much for getting her, I know it will be a pain, sounds like she is not going in with the littles due to being a little bigger....if you need me to come down there and get her before you can get to Ogden holler, and I will. I owe you a chickie ride if you ever need one from up this direction. Sundance I have to admit, I have been debating grabbing one more from you while I am at it, but so far I have stuffed down the urge and am trying to stick with my original 1-chicken plan. Ohhhhhh it is tempting! Sphinx you are not the only one battling the chickie addiction ! :p It is so hard!

Lisa- I did miss your post. I think I'll pass. They are so cute though... Ahhh... But I think I want to save my space for sizzles... I've been wanting them forever... My chickens never produced me any. Thanks though... I'm loving my polish I did get... They love being on my shoulders. :)

Sun dance- do u know what youre selling yet? I would like two sizzles And a silkie if u have that avaliable and are willing to sell to me. :)
